actually, watching the same teams get played over and over is not boring to me atleast, why?
because even if everyone has seen what the team is capable of, there is no reason why you will see it happen so many times until you see a great player like justin and sanford play. They bring out the best in what they play, thus you see the game at it’s current best.
i understand your point about low tiers being more exciting because you get to see the game at a different light, with insane things that most people never knew about, but watching great players like justin and sanford play with whatever almost always promises an amazing show of strats/execution.
i believe that was the point that totaltoanage was trying to get across.
I could say I’m interested in those aspects of things because I actually understand the concept of it all. My creation isn’t lacking, it’s just dexterity and execution that stop me from creating anything “different” some time soon. If I had a program controler (and knew how to use the fucker) then yeah I probably would take it further.
The kind of stuff I’m on now is relatively simple, but I’m getting better. I’ve got things like the rom down, normal jump infinite, c.hk (sjc), tri-hk, c.hk etc. I’ve got a good hand full of resets too. Unfly is probably one of my next challenges, I’ve been experimenting with it a little, creating a few stomp paterns etc, but I haven’t gone beyond that. I was trying to do sj.lp, sj.lp, unfly sj.lp, sj.lp, unfly etc but that shit has mad crazy timing.
My sudden decision to learn Marvel to a higher level was pretty spontanious, but I’m enjoying it.
Yeah, that’s how it is pretty much =/. Thats why I’m asking of more people try things for themselves instead of waiting for a few to make something. It’s probably a lot cause though shrugs
I like gouki10 idea, I have ideas too but no way to encode them from dc to pc.Aim should be a good place to meet up for the people in this project.Dont lose hope there has to be creative minds out there but sharing ideas in private,then having them programed by magnetro or whoever is still the persons combo.So its nothing different,just a way to have the project running smoothly.After that,then release the public video.

Anyway, I’m glad to be receiving positive responses (from those of you that don’t hate combo videos for no reason) but let’s take this one step at a time. First off, get in touch with me via AIM to discuss your ideas. If it’s been done before, I’ll show you a clip of it or tell you which video you can download to see it. If it hasn’t been done, then I’ll help you find a way to capture it. If that proves impossible, then I’ll capture it for you. Either way, you’ll get credit for any of your ideas that end up in any combo videos that I put together. But I’m not sure if I’ll like everything that people come up with. Hm, maybe if there are enough people and ideas someone can make a video just showing everything that everyone (or however many people contributed) came up with. Once several of us start collaborating on a project, we won’t have much trouble finding ways to communicate. That’s the general plan.
They hate it for no reason cuz they only know god tier and and hate on the cv creators that makes a name for themseleves from there hard work for a game they love.And giving something to the community,which they truly don’t have to. :wonder:

I don’t care that most people don’t like CV’s or are not interested in them. I know that sounds contradicting. I made a mistake by saying, “for no reason” I’m sure people have their own reasons and taste and I can’t really hold it against them no matter how much I disagree with it.
Anyway, after a while all the combo video people I know make videos for themselves and for like 5 other people (trying to find more =/). It’s something ‘we’ just like to do. It’s selfish even though it doesn’t look like it, haha.
Could you give us an example of what kind of content you’re looking for? As far as doing things that haven’t been done, there’s only so much left you can do… Are you talking character infinites? Or even just 100% DHC combos with obscure characters?
new combos or interesting situations with two characters doing stuff at the same time. New combos is too hard to explain, i like technical stuff a lot and flashy/cool ideas with characters that aren’t TB4. It’s really hard to explain =/ unless I post stuff I have…Which I wont lol
making combo videos is like 7x harder than it looks. I had planned to get some stuff up (simple assist combos, mostly), but time is a bitch. As it is, I already have a bunch of stuff recorded, but haven’t bothered to arrange/edit/capture/sexify/encode/upload it, and won’t for a long-ass time. I think everyone has a combo or two that they want to get online, but nobody bothers, even the people who have the means to do it already- most just never actually do it.
I have some more complex stuff I want to get around to…some stuff for Rose (Alpha 3) and a Ryu tutorial (MvC2) among others…those will literally take forever to finish, let alone actually get online.
