air target combos
can anyone enlighten me on them? i saw a vid where it looked like somone did lp hp jumping in to a standing opponent (like chuns one) but it doesnt seem to work for me

You’re not doing both hits while in the air, or you’re not training hard enough.
You’ve got to press forward whilst doing the lp xx hp air target combo. Well… you don’t have to hold forward whilst doing the lp, but you need to hold forward for doing the hp after it.

I’m currently trying to get funds to fly AirGen out to EVO this year. Anyone interested in helping out? I’m going to gather as much money as I can from my local players here to see how much more we need first.

Every little bit helps. I’ve been nagging AirGen about this for awhile now, lol. He’s pretty broke ass, but he says if he can get a free flight/not pay an insane amount, he’ll go.
I don’t have anything against AirGen or anything but he’s probably just going to get schooled by Daigo/JWong.

AirGen actually plays against Daigo on a fairly consistent basis. It’s just that no one’s uploading their videos. It’s funny you mention this because they played in the SBO qualifiers. 
But I see what you mean. I just thought the Ibuki players here would be interested in the idea of AirGen going to EVO, regardless of contributing or not. Should’ve mentioned that. I haven’t even set a PayPal thing or whatever, but I quickly typed that up since I had class and didn’t really want to go into details yet. But yes, every little bit helps. =3
Also, AirGen was sort of JWong and Marn’s translator when they were in Japan. Sort of. Back then, they were even. And AirGen’s been in Japan leveling up while JWong’s been… beating everyone here. We’ll see how he fares, assuming I can manage to gather up the money. He won’t be “schooled” by JWong for sure. If they faced, I’m sure it’ll be close. But he’ll have a really tough time against Daigo.
i too havent got the sjc into ultra 2 working for me yet so i use ultra 1 as well.
best setup i have so far for it is to use the target combo st.lk>st.mk>st.Hk followed by the ultra 1.
the target combo brings you close enough to the opponent for the full ultra animation even from maximum range, and you can combo into the target combo from st.lp or cr.lp.
just buffer the ultra command through the last kick so you finish it right as you come out of recovery.
its failed very little for me so far but i expect better players will learn to jump out of it.
I like the new costume, but have you noticed the retardation? She tries to pull back a mask that isn’t there?! On taunts, win poses, and even her win quote! It’s retarded! Come on capcom, you could’ve made some different animations for the new costume!
Anyone know if Aruka started playing SFIV Ibuki? I always watched his vids for 3rd strike. Dude had the most epic bait into super 1 in 3s. (Dash>Sjc>Super)
I dislike the dependency of the neck breaker in 4, in 3 that move was a suicide move, now it’s a friggin gift from god.
Seriously though, if Ibuki had a solid crossover she’d be unstoppable. (I mean normal, cross up involving mk)
j.lk is a pretty solid crossup imo. and you can chain it into j.f-mk 
is cr.lp x2 > st.lp > st.mk a 3 frame link or 2 frame link?
^ its 3 frames iirc. st lp give +8 and st.mk starts in 5.
edit- How much is ibukis costume? I have like 5$ left on my account

The j.lk as a crossup is weak and flimsy IMO; I never use it, the only xup I ever do is in the corner, with j.mk; only will only land reliably with their backs to the corner.
How are you supposed to crossup then?
j.MK’s crossup hitbox is terribly unreliable imo.

When I first started playing SSF4 Ibuki, I kept trying to cross-up with j.mk but to no avail. Since then, I’ve been using j.lk to cross-up and it’s been working out great for me.
Sweeeeet. I’ve also got mine modded with ibuki shit. Getting it redone though seeing as the art on it is a little boring.
It is, it’s horrible. When they’re back is to the corner, you CAN and WILL cross them up with j.mk, I’ve sat in training mode screwing with it, it’s decently reliable.
I use a very close range sj>lp.kunai for crossing on wake, and that’s about the only crossing I do. I realized I never did much crossups in 3s, so why do I need to bother now? Giving up on it has opened a better range of attack for me.
