Interesting. So Daigo is teaming up with Iyos Ibuki for SBO. Looks like Daigo got the memo that Ibuki is secret top tier;)
I think it’s more that Iyo is the Japanese National Champion, and his bad match-ups include Yun and Vega, which Daigo probably has the best fighting chance against. Even then, Iyo eats Kim1234 for breakfast.
I’m expecting to see Ageman -> Kazegiri, and st.MP, st.MP, st.MK.
Claw is a bad matchup for Ibuki? lol troll?
Only a Gief would be a bad matchup to this team, and even then it’s not that bad; only slightly favored imo.
No no sorry! Dictator. I swear to always say their universal names from now on.
Damn crazy Japs with their crazy mixed up names!
Finally landed c.LP, c.LP, s.LP, s.MK, EX Tsumuji, EX Raida on someone online. XD
Ma Ibuki is becoming acceptable.
ex-raida is a waste of meter. use HP one
Well I did it cos it was the last round and it finished the game. I didn’t know that though, thanks.
just to make sure u didnt misunderstood me:
i meant that ex raida is worthless as combo ender because of damage scaling (using ex over HP does like 10 more damage, thats why its useless), the move itself isnt worthless.
Yeah, I knew what you meant
In most cases it’s better to do EX Neck Breaker. I used to always do c.MP, EX Raida
ex neckbreaker is only good for projectile dodging/round finisher.
normal neckbreaker generally better because it leads to vortex/safe-jump. ex has only safe-jump option which has pretty strict timing.
besides,u better save meter for DP’s to save your ass when in danger.
and why would u do c.mp->ex raida when u can do neckbreaker?
as i remember ex-raida after c.mp can even miss without proper spacing.
Because I R SILLY n00b player. That’s why
I understand all that stuff now.
i cant even do cr.lp-st.lp-st.mk xx tsumuji so u cant be more noob than me!
u just need more theory knowledge.
if u have semi-decent exectuion you can boost your level of play like skyrocket with just theory stuff right now. so, watch more pro videos :>
Yeah, I guess so. I would like to get a TE stick too. I think it’ll make my execution quite a bit better
Is anyone else really looking forward to the bansho kick buff like I am? The more I think about it, the best way to make Ibuki OP would be to give her really strong normals. Instead, they gave her the next best thing and what I feel is more true to the character: a counterpoke to a good normal. If they really did alter the trajectory on it, I can think of two big practical uses. The obvious one is a crouch tech eater, but what if they made her hurtbox even higher and we could hop shoto c.mk or Yang c.mk? Then we’re in s.mk range with the possibility of a combo and in the best position possible for her, even if s.mk is blocked. Honestly, I feel like that’s all we needed to improve her without breaking her. Command jump stuff is gimmicky as hell but it.s an added bonus, however small.
Wait a darn second… HK Tsumuji does more damage?
Kind of. Playing against my friend’s Chun the other day made me remember how shitty Ibuki’s normals are, and how impossible it is to play footsies against Chun. I don’t usually have a problem with shoto cr.MK anyways, since Ibuki’s f+LK rapes it all day. As a counter crouch tech, maybe. But then again, that’s what frame traps are for.
I doubt she’ll be op after the buff, but we’ll have to see what kind of buff we’re talking about. I’d still trade the f+HK command normal for a faster walk speed, which would be a much better buff imo so she can finally play footsies more solidly, and not have to rely on dash gimmick shit.
More damage than what?
Than MK Tsumuji, I never clocked.
Tried out some XBL and landed on exactly 3333PP \o/, I’m going to stay that way. First match was hilariously poop, and it was uploaded because I had to the leave the room right when K.O happened, so on the Leaderboards you get the see the worst Ibuki play ever (still won though).
Came across ANOTHER Ibuki player! Yay! I’ve found twelve of them in the past two weeks. I’ve been referring them all to the Ibuki PLAYER GUIDE, convincing them it’s good by trying my best. Accidentally pulled off my old school U1 set-up, [st.LK -> U1].
So which brings me to my question, do you guys use U1 set-ups anymore? I always try to SJC it or wait to punish something. Sometimes playing better is playing worse when you play against random players online.
No, because I can’t even do perfect U1 input in training room.
When/if the shortcuts return to U1, then maybe I’ll start using it again, since I rarely use SJC U2 anyways.
i cant even input it properly after blocked hp.srk sometimes. ex-raida here we go
EX Raida = please put your controller down I would have won.
I can’t wait for [cr.MK -> U1], and kara-focus U1. So hyped to be random with Ultras again.
