Yang is all about launchers (and his Hai Hoi). Ibuki was all about launchers in 3S, and Sakura was launchers in Vanilla. That’s what I’m referring to.

Anyways, I’m actually pretty pissed about my performance at CEO. I lost to some Chun that honestly wasn’t really that good cause the monitor had no sound and that bothers the shit out of me. I came all the way back to losers sem where I lost to Yipes 2-1 in the last round ;(. I didn’t catch on till too late but he later told me he was doing lk devils reverse on reaction to kunai votex to force juggle. He also told me that the match up is a little better for Ibuki since his scissor can’t lock her down as good anymore.
I’m actually pretty pissed I left my Camera at home. After losing to that Chun I went on a rampage and murdered everyone. I am also doing pretty damn good at money matches so far.
I’m actually thinking about sticking with her for a bit more, but I’m doing some reality checks. Watching Sako play is actually the bigest eye opener ever. My fundamentals are just plain out ass, I need to step that shit up. I’m also going to be playing without sound at home since that always rapes my in tournament.

lolwat you played a tourney match on a setup without sound? That shit shouldn’t have even counted, or at the very least, you should have refused to play on such a setup. There’s no need to be training at home without sound, when you should be playing matches on standard setups with video + audio.
The new thing now is to have everything on Evo-like monitors. Most of the time the sound is so low and the venue is so louud that’s its impossible to hear. This one just had no sound.
This place has like 70 setups though so I guess its just something I have to deal with. A lot of my friends have switched to just playing with headphones on. I’m transitioning ok but I’m having a hard time hitting jab after lk wipe since I use to go by sound lol.

My hardest matchups are yun constant dive kicking in block strings anti air is hard and sometimes trade wtf viper: I feel she can spam for free and be safe on a air bks and ground pound especially ex. Guile I just need some good advice getting in on him. Punishes for Balrog cuz st mk isnt doing the job for me. And a good safe jump for yun I try to crlp jmk after neckbreaker which sometimes works and I did one on a balrog that did a ex dash and I jumped in with fp and it fked his direction up but I don’t remember the timing so if anybody has some advice or new knowledge let’s get that matchup thread going

Bringing up being the #3 ranked Ibuki on PSN a couple days after launch, and with so many majors this weekend is about as impressive as saying you’re the fastest kid at fat camp.

Well,online rankings don’t matter at all,except if you can back it up with offline and/or tournament results.There are so many scrubs online who mash dp or jhk>crhk is their go to combo ,spam shit,etc.Those people don’t stand a chance offline.I’ve watched some replays of some ibukis back in the ssf4 days that were A ranked and stuff and the only way they were winning is by doing tc6 snd tc8 resets.lol.This sucks
whats with all the negativity energy in here? every time i come through, the latest discussion is always about why ibuki sucks… do you need rationalization for losing? plus these little forum rivalries are getting silly… its well established that ibukis not top tier, but if you have a good read on your opponent shes got the tools to succeed… ive been having more fun since ae came out than the whole time i played super…

I can’t speak for anyone else, but even with the very high win rate in AE with Ibuki, I’m one of the people who posted she “sucks”. All while having a very large losing streak with Yun.
I guess I never had a real reason for posting, just jotting down my thoughts.
