But it says headphone port. Would it still work? I tried plugging it into there but the mic doesn’t work, only the headphones part works. I tried plugging in the headset into a controller and that worked well, but I don’t play 360 pad.
Actually, every time I play him, he always always always SJC U2 the first chance he gets. Even if it’s a cr.LP cr.LP st.LP st.MK combo where it would scale down to like 10%.
But yeah you’re right. He doesn’t do anything high level. He doesn’t play footsies, he doesn’t reaction punish fireballs. He plays a mash dash/backdash Ibuki and wins with vortex spam. And he doesn’t even keep you in the vortex properly. I always jab dp reset out and he ALWAYS does backdash , forward dash , jab or throw. I think one time I even random ultraed at this point and got him.
And Ibuki seens to be pretty low. While this dosn’t deter me from playing her, I’m just curious as to if anyone has some insight to why she isn’t regarded as great in AE. Her changes don’t seem to make her greatly better or worse, could it just be due to unpopularity?
I understand some of the characters are just plain deadlier at the moment (fei, yun, yang) but yeah, curious
Probably because people have to find some new mix-ups after Neck Breaker because of it’s new distance, but besides that she seems even better than in SSF4.
But more specifically, Ibuki has a difficult time vs dive kick characters. With the agemen nerf, antiairing a dive kick is going to become a science. And she doesn’t exactly have the best option select vs dive kick pressure (raida). Then again not many characters do, so…
Fei has always given her trouble, and now that he’s been buffed, it’ll probably be an even worse matchup. Gief was slightly bad too.
Her primary bad matchup (imo BIPSON) didn’t really get much better I don’t think.
what did they do to the ageman in AE? I haven’t heard about this until now. I thought they just reduce hit damages/stuns on most of her moves. was the agemen priority changed as well?
I honestly don’t know why anyone would be surprised at Ibuki being that low.
I actually cannot wait to try this out in a couple of weeks. I want to see if the spacing difference in LK Scissor Kick makes a difference. At least I expect to see a lot less use of that annoying ass Ultra 2.
She isn’t that low, calm down. She still has vortex and good damage output. She just doesn’t have an autopilot dive kick, or herp derp safe rekkas or herp derp safe lunge punch at full screen.
Scissors kick spam isn’t the only reason why Bipson pwns this matchup.
if i had to hazard a guess, ryan thinks ibuki does well probably cause of her large damage output plus vortex, so, she basically has a decent chance of taking yun out from a knockdown… think ibuki versus dudley or ibuki…
and she probably has it easy as far punishing yuns attempts to reversal out since his ex reversal leaves him floating forever she can probably breaker a wiffed ex upkicks… so yun has to take the mixup on the chin… just a hunch but thats the only thing i can think of… havent played since a month after it came out, and havent really played super more than once a month since that.
I told you people dont know shit about her. And by the way, once we figure out Ibuki’s new safe jumps and and mixups from neckbreaker Yun will probably be free to Ibuki being that cr. fierce owns the shit out of him
Since I’ve had access to AE since SoCal got it I actually figured out the timing to make Yun’s EX kicks whiff if I throw a kunai but the problem is I can’t punish it with neckbreaker because I’m recovering from the kunai in one direction and he’s flying across the screen in the opposite direction. That safe jump against Deejay(I thought I was clever and thought I only knew about it, I should probably check these forums more since it would probably save me some time when I go to training mode.) where you neutral jump and lk works against Yun too and I’m pretty sure you can punish the kicks. I think Yun has the advantage in this matchup though because he can put out so much pressure it’s really hard for Ibuki to deal with it. Yun in general is just disgustingly good and he’s the easiest character in the game to play anyone can pick him up.
I’ll try to check these forums more and share what I can. I’m not the most technical person though I usually play and learn through trial and error. I don’t mind losing to someone 40 straight as long as I’m learning so if my strategies aren’t the most in depth sorry lol
