The average human has around the same potential for a fast reaction time. It’s a matter of recognising what to react to (gold flash for Ex, or sound for High Jump), then it’s about limiting the time taken to do the action itself. No good having your finger a few cm above a button, for example.
You might find that those custom arcade sticks, the very sensitive ones, help quite a bit. However, it’s all pointless at the end of the day, because the brain easily and effectively adjusts to lag. So long as it doesn’t change too often, a degree of lag won’t affect your response times to the point of affecting your skill.
If anything, higher degree of lag teaches the player to read an opponent naturally. Sub-consciously picking up patterns faster than the average player. This can be a good and bad thing.
Just drink Green Tea, get enough sleep, and meditate every once in a while. Lol!
I’ve heard that Chuck Norris hit a -357ms on that test while he was asleep and having not eaten for two decades. The admin of the site instantly deleted his data because the site is called “Human Benchmark”.
From what I heard
Sanwa - what they use in the SSFIV cabs. really smooth.
Seimitsu -Feel a little more “Real”. Not as smooth but not annoying to press at all.
If you feel Sanwa buttons are too sensitive, then you’ll most likely like Seimitsu. But if you don’t have any clue how either feels, then uhh… let’s just say you can rest your fingers on Seimitsu buttons without activating a button press, but you can’t rest your fingers on Sanwa buttons EVER.
So yeah, preference. But Sanwa seems to be more common/popular though.
Also, my scene’s getting AE tomorrow. I can’t wait to try out AE Ibuki. =3
So I guess I’ll go Seimitsu. Any recommended place to buy parts from then? I’ve only been lurking LizardLick but their color selection for Seimitsu is kind of lame.
I’ve ordered from both LizardLick and Akihabara shop before and they’re both good, but I personally had a better experience doing business with Akihabara shop.
