Dear Ibuki players.
It’s all fine to learn some offence, but Ibuki is like every other character in that she requires a solid defense. Respect the fact that she has 900 stamina without a proper reversal without meter!
Best defense is a good offense. My play style revolves around my opponent afraid to throw out moves in fear of knockdown -> vortex -> reset -> mixup -> knockdown -> vortex -> reset -> mixup -> etc.
Yeah, putting fear/confusion into their heads is the only way to get silly inputs from above average players. I try to play solid without taking risks until they play defensively, which I guess is too late most of the time.

Kara throw with st.MK. Old news. Was posted somewhere… in Ibuki forums (hint: this forum is disorganized). But the range on her kara is about half of that of Ken’s.

I couldn’t find any uses for her Kara-throw, it’s too short.

if that is the case then she’s got one of the best kara throws in the game, which she doesnt. the range is pretty miniscule.
Raida hit-box is too large to be for that to make sense, but I’ll give this a shot sometime!
Shouts to Clakey D for almost beating J.Wong in winners at WCW. Did one bad read with an EX DP that Justin Wong dived right in front of then punished with ultra FTL. I was really surprised that Justin never tried to focus dash out of kunai. Probably due to how clakey kept using the ambiguous normal jump kunai vortex which can easily blow up focus if he switches to a jump normal. That matchup gets a lot easier once u figure out the spacing and figure out ways to actually knock Rufus down. It’s still a matchup that Rufus clearly has the movement and speed advantage in. His movement generally has less whiff opportunity to punish than Ibuki’s so u have to make really good decisions the whole fight or lose momentum quickly.
I heard Clakey knocked Justin out of losers sending him out of the tournament? If this is true mad props.

Naw it ain’t true. But clakey did really well against Justin when they played. I forget who sent Justin home. Vangief losing was weird as well. Justin seems rusty, he missed lots of links in his loss… I think it was air that he lost to… Yeah it was air. Dude was shitting bricks after he won according to the commntators.
-edit… but it seems as if air was the first person that jw lost to and then clakey beat justin the second time they played… i could have sworn air was the last game for justin though… guess not.
good shit to clakey then. i always thought rufus wasnt THAT bad for ibuki. in his favor definitely, but nowhere near a 7-3 or anything.
justin went u1 in the first match… and he got owned up by kunai mixups, but he also landed u1 all day… i donr know if he should have gone with u2 in the second matchup, if he didnt. u1 rufus is still alot scarier to me than u2 rufus.

His damage and when he has meter are huge threats but
It’s not easy for him to get in, and we can get full combos on his hitbox

He used u2. What I found interesting was when Wong used EX messiah (LK ender) FADC forward, Clakey tried to reversal u2. I’m guessing he was trying to read FADC back dash, which might be a guaranteed punish? Gonna test this shit out soon, if it works then godrike.
I tested it already and posted it in the matchup thread, some time back. It certainly does punish messiah FADC backdash.
