Wait, which hit is cancelable–the first hit or the second?

Pretty sure it’s second. “Backhand punch” is an extension of st.hp I believe.

Hey guys quick question, what are your go-to hit confirms (close range, far, etc)? Found out that among my many weaknesses as a player, my inability to hit confirm consistently is one of them. I’m guessing Cr. LP, Fr.S LP, S.MP, Cr.MP, St.MK, TC4 (maybe TC6xxMK.Tsu to keep their blocking honest)?

So, a newer version of USF4 PC mod is out, but the guy forgot to put neckbreaker into hard knockdown and I don’t know how to do it myself lol. But I did some testing, and backhand punch is her only way to get RFC. I’ve updated my chart with some of my findings with backhand punch including combos and what backhand punch can reliably whiff punish. It’s not finished yet, however.

-Guard bug where El Fuerte’s 6+MK would cross over fixed
-Walk speed has been increased
-Crouching LP start-up reduced by 1 frame (4F → 3F)
-Target combo 10 no longer hits opponents who are crouch blocking
-Target Combo 4 (LP → MP → HP near opponent) 2nd hit hitbox expanded downward
-Target combos 6 and 8 cause airborne juggle state
-Hammer Kick (6+MK) hitbox expanded downward; advantage on block reduced by 1 frame (+3F → +2F)
-Backhand Punch (HP → HP far from the opponent) now Special-, EX Focus-, EX Red Focus- and Jump-cancellable
-L, M and H Tsujigoe can now be cancelled into any attack immediately upon landing
-All versions of Tsumuji hitbox slightly expanded downward
-M Tsumuji recovery increased by 1 frame (14F → 15F)
-EX Kazegiri invincibility time increased by 1 frame (6F → 7F); hitbox on active frames 2-3 expanded, easier to use as an anti-air
-L, M, H and EX Raida has one more hit of juggle potential

So is TC 6 and 8 juggleable into raida…?

Finally, she got a walkspeed buff, have been asking for that buff since day 1, her walkspeed never felt right.

I am literally filled with joy with the Ibuki changes. Seriously, I cannot stop smiling.

So basically if I read a fireball correctly I can j.HP, TC8 xx sjc command dash, cl.HK, Raida > ambiguous setup in the corner?
Or maybe end with cr.HP instead of Raida xx sjc command dash reset, and repeat from TC8/TC6 onwards?

Ibuki is a stun machine now.

Ibuki… is so good now. So good. I try to remain the stoic type, be the change list has got me gushing over them. I’m in love.

Her walk speed buff is something I’ve always wanted. Now her footsies and space control is a lot better for it.
Raida having one more hit of juggle is something that I always felt Ibuki should have had. Now she has it.
Her launcher target combos (excluding TC10) now cause juggle. …Incredible.
Tsujigoe still sounds useless, but it’s been improved too.

The only nerf Ibuki received is delayed wakeup, and possibly red focus attack because everyone will do so much damage and stun from extended combos.

Not just stun, but also corner carry with a juggle raida :sunglasses:

I think Tsujigoe now looks better, maybe we can start Target combo off it LOL

So, maybe I was wrong… First clip into this video is Ibuki doing TC6 > sjc command dash > Raida, with no cl.HK before the Raida… it seems the sweep + launcher in TC6 take 2 juggle points so the only followups would be Raida or cr.HP.

Let’s hope Desk doesn’t care about Ibuki and didn’t used her full potential in that video.

Desk did 1 Ibuki combo ever.period,and it was cr.lp mk tsumuji lp mk ultra 2.
Desk doesn’t know much about ibuki,I guess he was like ‘‘what have jp? (tries raida) o this does,ok I’ll use this’’ I’m sure it takes 1 point of juggle

@Gabe_Art congrats on placing Top 32s on UFGTX for AE and Ultra! What’s your opinion on USF4 Ibuki? Whose walk speed can you compare on her walk speed buff?

So I played Ultra on the weekend here in London at MCMexpo and I have to say, the walk speed buff is amazing, I was going up against a decent Ken and Two Vegas with a lot less trouble.
You can cancel her Backhand on whiff so OS’ need to be done quite late and on hit it combos into HP neckbreaker too. Now I don’t know what soft knockdown means but I guess people can tech the knockdown? Because her Neckbreaker didn’t seem any different, I was still able to safe jump and Vortex.

I played against a lot of Claws and They were easily punishing Blocked Lk Tsumuji and comboing from it, I don’t know if this is old or the result of the extra frame on recovery but I’ve never seen that before =S
Unfortunately I was mainly gushing over her Footsies so I wasn’t able to test her new Juggles and TC properties.

Damnit. I wanna see footage of her walkspeed. Super curious to see how fast she is. Also she can cancel backhand on WHIFF? That’s pretty nuts.

Are you sure that neckbreaker is soft knockdown again? Meaning they can quickrise from it.

No no. He wasn’t sure what soft knockdown was and was asking if it meant they could tech. That’s exactly what it means by the way Aqua.

Yeah Okay, Neckbreaker definitely wasn’t techable, Also, I remember trying in response to delayed wake up the f.lk into Kunai, it worked pretty well against it considering I was testing it on the spot.

I’ll say that you guys will be really happy with her walk speed, it felt really natural just walking in and out of spaces. If I had to choose a Character just out of my mind, I’d say it almost felt like Sakura.

Thanks! I was hoping for top 16 in AE but oh well. I didn’t play much Ibuki or Ultra to be honest. When I did play in the Ultra tournament I used mostly Yang and Ibuki only once. I do think Ibuki is going to be solid because a lot of other vortex characters are being nerfed and being nerfed by the system changes where Ibuki is really only being nerfed by the system changes. I didn’t notice too much of a difference in her walkspeed. I didn’t mess around with much of her changes. 3 frame crouch jab is definitely good though. I was able to do both hits of close st hk into raida in the corner. I tried doing it midscreen but couldn’t get it. I’m sure she’ll be able to do hit comfirm hk kazigiri fadc st hk raida for max damage. Also, I had trouble tsumuji looping Guy and I thought they might have taken the loop out but I played a Balrog player right after and I landed the loop no problem so I’m not sure what happened there. Tsujigoe buff is cool but didn’t play enough to find anything useful with it yet.

Anyone played around with her yet? I feel like her back walk speed is much slower than I remember from other tests that I played. Her new TC are weird with their juggle states now.
