ah, they modified some of the properties on his moves it looks. nice. heartless spire seems to have less range and maelstrom causes hard knockdown on aerial opponents (?). we’ll see if those remain. hmmmm…i think i know the perfect team that’ll work for him.
i’m wondering if L hellfire actually hits low.

Day 1 Ghost rider with hidden missiles.

Ghostrider is looking much better… I already had planned to make him the point man of my B team… Ghostrider/Drstrange/Dormammu but now that I see he has a lot more to offer I may work him into a few other teams as well… Hulk/Spiderman/Ghostrider for team New Fantastic Four.

I keep forgetting about Ghost Rider for some reason, even though I really like him as a character. Really like that he has a good OTG, means I dont have to use wesker now :slight_smile:

Also yeah, turns out GR has a lot more names for his specials and command normals then I thought.

The fact that it combos into itself and the recovery that it has, plus the speed it has over Spit Fire…Awesome! And yeah, like Jocelot said, we FINALLY get to see what Conviction Slam is. Looks like a good combo ender if you’re trying to save meter.

And one of my biggest questions was answered…You CAN Kara into Penance Stare. And the combo that Max showed out of it…a.k.a. the Wesker Killer, it only adds to the Hype! I still think a quicker lockdown assist would benefit Blaze, but I can see Doom’s missiles being of use.

He actually does that move in almost all his footage lol. Just that Capcom gave us the wrong notation for whatever reason

Conviction Slam causes hard knockdown, it looks like. Could make for some interesting combo extensions.

I’m thinking ghost rider will be perfect with a GTFO assist and a projectile assist. I’m hoping Ghost Rider/Akuma/Taskmaster will be good :smiley:
I’m wondering if Tatsu assist can even extend combos after Ghost’s OTG even with the new hard knockdown cause of Ghost’s reach?

Do you tap the :m:/:s: button down to wheelie? I’m wondering because it seems weird for Capcom to make 2 inputs do the same thing. If I programmed Ghost, I’d have :m: be wheelie, and :s: be jump.

I think one would probably pop the wheelie without leaving the ground and the other will make the bike actually lift off after the wheelie. At least, that’s my theory. Hopefully we can get some more info on that…

Hmm… I think all 3 of GR’s :qcb::atk:'s leave your opponent in that untechable knockdown state. Pretty sure that the only real differences is that each strength leaves the opponent at a different location as it hits. As Max said in the vid, :l: brings 'em right to Johnny’s feet, :m: kinda mid distance and :h: kinda full screen. At least, that’s my theory.

I don’t know why he kept calling the “command grabs”.
That really annoys me.

I know how you feel. Jax was the only character in MK9 where a command grab made sense… and they made it blockable. :frowning:

Been thinking hard about a team for GR, my day 1 team probably wont work out all that well in the end. I think he’ll have good synergy with Spencer though, Diagonal zip for GR combo extensions and possibly resets into his Lvl 3. His OTG assists for obvious combo extension and spire looks like a good AA assist. Still contemplating over a 3rd that isn’t Sentinel though. Hopefully the new guys show me something today

So does GR have actual command grabs(i.e completely unblockable) or just moves that look like command grabs?

Chaos Wringer, Hell’s Embrace & Conviction Slam are all blockable throws IIRC, meaning you can use them in combos, but it’s not good to just toss 'em out there. The only completely unblockable move Blaze has is Penance Stare.

Cool good to know, woulda prolly been extremely broken if they were actual command grabs, max really needs to stop using that work on a blockable move.

What’s crazier about Heartless Spire is that Max said you could go for air grab resets in the corner. That and the fact it combos into it’s self is plain scary!
I also really hope he has synergy with Nova because that would be an amazingly badass team.

Do you guys happen to know if Ghost Rider can cancel his dashes into normals? Also can he perform a full magic series chain, or is he limited to two hits before his launcher like Sentinel, Hulk, etc.?
