I can add that if the combo needed something specific to work like only in corner or doesnt work if u did a certain move in the beginning of a combo, but outside of that it doesnt seem neccesary.
Why do you think having everything in one place is a bad idea? Would you rather have to open 3 or 4 tabs to have everything in front of
You instead of just 1? If its organized properly it should make finding whatever you need much easier.
As for the grammar thing, I’m generally not too worried
About it as long as the reader can understand what I wrote, especially coz english is my 3rd language so i dont really bother proof-reading and fixing the grammar and all that shit.
Out of curiousity though, can u point out some of the spots with messed up grammar?
Lol its only those 2 threads, dont really care about any of the other characters. And yeah there shouldnt be an issue as my team will be x-23/G.Rider/Vergil so I’ll have to know everything about them anyway. I dont leave my house for work so i spend shitloads of time on my laptop. I’ve done lots of guides, contributed a good bunch to the SRK wiki, did a few Matchup/strategy threads (check the juri forum, ran online tourneys with prizes for more than a year (check the PSN forum, couldnt compete with guys like UYG or PJS so i decided to stop)and some tekken punishment guides as well so this isnt something new to me, and honestly if u actually care enough it doesnt really take that long to keep a few threads up-to-date =)

Well, it may seem that combos in MVC3 are pretty straightforward, but sometimes they come with tricky links or early/late chain timing here and there. It’s not so much about describing every detail of the combo in question, as much as just putting notes here and there about things you think the reader may struggle with early on.
Stuff like:
-delay the last j.:s: to get the OTG follow up on the ground…
-do Trish’s , :d:+:h: early during the jump to make hopscotch easier to hit…
etc.
The reason I’d rather have separate threads is because it makes discussion more coherent. That and because I hate taking like 10 minutes to respond to multiple users in one post >:p
I mean it just makes sense to revise the grammar in your combo threads if you are going to update it through the foreseeable future anyway. You seem to have trouble with capitalization and the correct placement of punctuation marks.
meh thats just me speeding through and never actually re-reading what i wrote. I’ll go through and fix that sort of stuff in a sec
and yeah those sort of notes make sense, I cant recall any combos with x-23 that require specific notes like that but I’ll skim through the thread and add them if needed. Usually though those sort of combos have a video link besides them and the Video maker puts those sort of notes in the vid description thats why i never bothered.
hmm good point on the discussion, I wont mind if there are separate threads honestly, I’m mainly looking at the combo thread at first and then when everything is solidified I can make a separate thread titled “Complete ____ Guide” to be stickied or something.
I think Ghost Rider’s j.:s: coupled with Taskmaster’s horizontal arrows assist will be filthy. The problem with assists like Unibeam and Hidden Missiles is that even if you land a hit, the damage scaling is atrocious. But Hidden Missiles would give you consistent and ridiculous zoning. It’s a toss up.
I’m going to build my team around Ghost Rider; I think he’ll need a projectile assist + a combo extender to maximize his damage output.
?? not really, dont even know if you made any threads for characters I use (Dante combo thread maybe? not sure, and too lazy to go check lol) but naw I didnt really have anyone in mind when i wrote that, its just that over the years when i try to learn a new character the most annoying thing is going to their forum and find nothing useful as its all a big mess ~__~ Makes it much harder to know what to use, what not to use, most damaging combos, what setups/gimmicks are good and which ones are outdated etc etc

Ahh, ok. I started the original Dante Combo thread but I kinda went through a rough patch round the same time (family crap) MvC3 came out and wasn’t around as much as I liked to…
I tried to update later on and foolishly deleted the thread by mistake while trying to update it somehow… somebody else took over and blah blah blah.
sigh but yeah, I always try to give my all for these kinda threads. Good luck on trying to get the GR Combo thread, I definitely plan on making at least one thread in the GR section once the game drops.

Yup, thats my friend Jason Glad he put it here lol I thought he forgot about it, I did and no one really talked bout ghost riders combo potential so i decided to go find it.
God damn, Heartless spire is straight gdlk. Comes out faster than I thought, combos into itself and has <b>hella</b> durability. Candidate for new Gustaff assist? OK, maybe getting ahead of myself, but it looks real good
He didn’t cover the Bike’s armor properties unfortunately, but all that damage plus armor and a hard knockdown for easy DHC’s?
Some more new stuff:
-Ghost Rider’s taunt is the best in the game, as expected
-Hellfire Maelstrom is a mashable hyper, though SOV does more damage
-Penance Stare can be Kara’d with certain normals (MOTHER OF GOD); combo followup is a touch of death for characters with < 1 million health
-Max clears up some of the names of Ghost’s specials, so now we can reorganize them!
Even though it contradicts what I said earlier, I think Ghost Rider + Doom (Hidden Missiles) will be a ridiculously powerful pairing. :h:+:a2:, :h: and :uf:+:a2:, :s: will make calling Doom completely free and nigh unpunishable. Also it looks like we’d be able to DHC into Sphere Flame after Spirit of Vengeance for disgusting damage. Even though damage scaling will pose a problem, I think the benefits will outweigh the costs. Something worth playing around with.
