I’m thinking it might be fun to do the Guilty Gear Tournament (and maybe other ones if I end up running them) as ranbats. it’d give the newer players more games and more incentive to play I think.

I like this setup. Also allows for seeding the top 2 ro 4 or whateve reach week (depending on how many pools are needed). I like that pool play in this setup gives points, as it gives the lower players somethign to fight over.
I figure if it’s less then 12 enteries, two pools, double elimination finals with top 2 from pools moving on, 12 enteries or higher is 4 pools, single elimination finals with only the top placer from pools moving up.
Or so I theorize. Guess it’ll be good to start this setup next year.

Hey everyone, I just moved out here to LI from down south and was hoping to meet up with some fellow fighters/"shmup"ers.
I’m over in Floral Park right by the train so I can get around pretty easily.
What arcades do you guys frequent? The only one I’ve been going to is in the city, over in ChinaTown… Can’t beat those quarter games, and they have all of the big fighters as well.
Guy, that’s all we have left. Long Island’s arcade scene died when FYE closed over the summer. However, we run tournaments every month at an arcade out east on the Island at Castle Golf. Actually bro, since there is no more Eddie “Cla”, I will probably need a hand. I know he usually takes care of some other tournaments. Not that they’d be any harder to run, I could actually keep it a bit more organized with my laptop, but I’d still need those tournaments run. I’m going to give Mark (DDRPropher, other Castle employee, ran Guitar Hero and Smash last time) a call tomorrow or Sunday and go over everything with him. Thanks for volunteering though.
