So when I suggested Waterloo for Sunday I forgot that Final Round was this weekend. I kinda want to sit in and watch the finals now…also I have my doubts that Waterloo will even run their casuals tomorrow with FR going on.

Tomorrow I’m going to my school’s cheap gaming tournament - Smash, MK, UMVC3 so won’t be going to K/W anyway, though I do want to go as much as possible, so maybe next week. The guys who host this tournie don’t play fighters, so I didn’t want to bring everyone along to beat them down in a single elim tournament for a future shop gift.

Just found out my aunt died yesterday. I was never close with her so I’m ok but I’m gonna spend some time with my parents since my mom just lost her sister.
No problem, understandably so.
Since I got to play some SFxT, my init impressions of it are good so far. While the Tekken characters do feel alien at this point, the SF side seems an easy adaptation. Poking and footsies are definitely more strongly pronounced in this, while the Tekken high/low mix open up style is fair as well. Only character that made me wonder a bit was Rolento (st jab block string is very tough to deal with). Command grab characters seem extra scary in this with some armour options for Gief for example. But time will tell how this pans out fully…
On a more interesting note/question: who is interested in going to Toryuken? I would like to get in on the whole “get a room for 2 nights under discounted Toryuken rate” deal if there are those that are really interested. As for TTT event in Hamilton, I will be happy to drive people going to it and back. But someone else can do it for Toryuken.

How about the idea of splitting on a room? With current discount would be about $205 after tax before parking and gas. Obviously I would throw in money for those as well.
Pretty similar price to what we paid for T12. I’m fine with it as long as we’re not the only 2 splitting the cost; how many people are you looking to fit into this room? Also are you averse to getting very little sleep if we’re lucky enough to be on the same floor as the top US players again like T12 and have a chance to play with them (assuming Toryuken gets US players)? Actually if not I’m probably just gonna find whatever room has the best Marvel players and spend most of the night there anyway.
