I won’t question Drew`s video game prowess since he has beaten Battletoads, all the Megamans. Metroids, Zelda, and various other games in front of me and my brother with relative ease. I would like to see a money match between drew to have a speed run in Megamans. You guys get together for each megaman at different times, maybe like start with mm1 one day then 2 the other and by let say mm6, who ever won the most gets the money.
On the video game rant though I am a little confused. Even though repetition sounds silly as being difficult, those video games only look easy in hindsight. They are a consistent trial and error process in which you not only hone your memory, but also reflexes with reaction times and precision. That is difficult. What hard games are there today minus like 4 games you can mention that were intended to be as difficult as the old games. There is just a far larger quantity of older games that are considered difficult by todays standards, and to a younger generation, too tedious and hard. Kids want movies in their video games today and to not give a too much of a challenge. Ryan the reason you find Megamans easy and dismiss them as easy games even by todays standard, IS BECAUSE YOU BEAT THEM EVERY SUMMER FOR THE LAST HOW MANY YEARS OF YOU LIFE. That eventually would constitute them as easy games to you, but give any 11-25 yr old megaman today and guaranteed they will complain how hard it is, no save states, despite the codes, etc. And I am aware 25 is an age that teeters on the megaman gen of people who did play them as kids and the ones who didn’t but are now gamers due to COD4 etc.
Also Ryan, ya I remember watching one of the last Marvel 2 tourneys I forget which one, but ya I remember them talking about how there will always be the loyal following to marvel 2 and it will always be played even with the popularity of 3 and I thought to myself, shit this game is gonna die almost as bad as CVS2. And it did, despite what they believe, it is dead, which is such a shame.

Ya thats what I`m saying, a lot of 25ers have grown up playing the megaman while a lot haven’t. It is the in-between age.

K Alvin when you wanna meet today? I’m gonna bring my PS3. Alvin/Joe/Ryan, which one of you plays online the most? I will give one of you the system so I can have a training partner when Drew is not online (which is most of the time). But you guys would need a PS3 stick or a converter. I need some1 to play consistently so I can get even with you guys ASAP. Corry, after I finish leveling up in Marvel, I’ll give it to you so we can play AE.
around 3:30-4 is good for me. i got an assignment due at 4 which i’ve yet to start because of marvel yesterday. shouldnt be very long though. i’d take the ps3 but bell internet is ass. i only play assassin’s creed online because lag doesnt matter much in that, then soul calibur 5 once in a while when the internet’s in a good mood.

I’m gonna leave around 7. But I’m not gonna stay if you have stuff to do, so just tell me if you can’t play long or w/e, I won’t mind. Also, I MAY have to stay a bit longer at work cause I gotta finish something, but my plan for now is to leave at 3, go home a bit, then drive over to ur place. I can leave the PS3 with u if Joe isn’t there, and you can give it to him, BUT I just realized that he also needs UMVC3 on PS3. Maybe Ben or some1 like Drew can lend it to him for a few weeks? Maybe give him AE too and I can play with him if he wants.
