When vanilla MvC came out, it was quickly discovered about one touch kills from crossups and teleports (most seem easy, but some are easier to apply) so my conditioning for UMvC was to see how fast it will take people to get back to that state. Since the game is there again in most circumstances, it is back to the mindset for vanilla for me. Meh, it happens…over and over again. Playing you, Drew, Alvin, Joe and even Monney is typically along the same lines in Marvel: something dirty is going to happen and fuck me up. Meh, I say, MEH TO THAT.
Why SC gets under my skin to an extent is part of the pacing change with the brave/critical edges. I don’t see them as a bad change by any means, because SC used to be alot slower paced and turtly (sp on a word that does not exist?). 8 way runs/movement seems to be more punished in this with some more easy to execute run counter options. I rage against the psychic computar more then anything, but we will see when we play each other. Especially if we get a Friday session with Partisan…

Second, there is more than enough comp for you in Windsor, Janko and Darren, not even sure if they play anymore, will still crush you down. Also, don`t bother coming to London for any of those games since you will lose in all of them, especially 3rd Strike and the Alphas and even more so in AE and UMVC3.

With Rog for example, you’re doing way too many useless moves from too far away, when I use him, my toolbox consists of:
-jab Dash punch (chip/pressure)
-sweep (footsies)
-c. fierce (anti-air)
-c. jab, c. jab, c. short xx fierce Headbutt (bread and butter)
-super/Ultra through fireballs
-EX Headbutt/EX Dashpunch wakeup
-neutral jump fierce for air/ground control (ie. vs other Rog’s dash punches or Bison’s short Scissor Kick)
-jump forward/back fierce to control the skies and get ppl off you who you can’t easily c. fierce
-walkup c. jabs for pressure and to throw ppl off who mash OS tech
-focus attack vs ppl like you who do predictable full screen dash punches)
-EX Upper (b,f+kick) to escape crossups like Gief’s
-c. jab, throw, c. jab x2, walk up throw for his tick game
-focus attack, dash back to escape (works vs option selects)
-dash back to escape vs non OS’s
There are a few other things, but most characters only have a few good things…you’re not using your characters’ good tools…and you need to learn what’s safe and what’s not. If you don’t have an intuitive grasp on what’s unsafe, then go to eventhubs.com and look at the frame data of your characters. If you don’t wanna do that, do what most of us did growing up did, either learn from experience (keyword: learn, don’t keep makin the same mistakes), or go to training mode and set the dummy to record, do all the moves, and try to punish them. Right now lots of stuff you’re doing is really unsafe.
I think you were able to already do that when vanilla came out. Just sayin’. Hell if it was a money match between you and him in say MK9 or KoFXIII, I would put money on you. And I have no faith for you in anything.
