First off, MVC3 is literally the worst fighting game Capcom has ever made. Anyone who can’t see the direction Capcom has taken since SF4 needs to reevaluate their critical thinking skills. Capcom doesn’t give a damn about making good games anymore. All they care about now is making games for the mainstream that are CONSIDERED “good” by brainwashed gamers (the non-discerning ones that play anything new). BIG difference. It’s the sort of difference that makes a movie like The Social Network ($23 million opening weekend) receive praise for being “great” (when it’s actually awful), while a masterpiece like Black Swan ($1.4 million) is considered “gay” by the majority of the ignorant mob. Now, a movie like Black Swan will still receive praise from critics (mainly political, as these types of movies are favored for the Oscars) and the few that can appreciate it, but in the big scheme of things, its recognition means virtually nothing. The masses neither want to see it, nor would they be able to appreciate or comprehend it even if they did. Now, taking a look at the current Street Fighter scene, the exact same thing is happening.
It has become 100% SSF4 and MVC3 (the scrubbiest games of their respective franchises). Nobody cares about the great games of old anymore. In a few years, the new age scrubs of the SF community will become the majority, and these games will be lost in time. Why is that a bad thing? Well, first off, because these new games are absolutely terrible. Second off, because these old games are the TRUE representation of the fighting game. Capcom’s continual bastardization of the franchise will lead to SF becoming a shadow of its former self. Don’t be surprised if in the coming years, SF (not only the VS series) adopts a simplified control scheme, in order to accomodate the whiny scrubs of today. Just take a look what the changes SF4 brought to the table:

[]FADC
[]focus attacks
[]regenerating health
[]invincible backdashes
[]decreased blockstun
[]easy reversals
[]Ultras
[]easy hit confirms
[]ridiculous EX’s
[]easy teching
[*]hyper armor

All of these things were introduced because Capcom knew it couldn’t make enough money if the game wasn’t easy enough to appeal to the mainstream. They sold out in order to make a profit, allowing them to sell out some more and make even more money off of garbage like MVC3.
The best part of all this, is that nothing will change, and people will keep playing this trash. The mob nowadays is so well-trained and the propaganda that’s brainwashing them so ingenious in its design, that they’re not even aware of what it’s doing to them. They’ll continue to think they’re in control, and that MVC3 is the second coming of Christ.
Second off, trying to organize (aka force) people to goto tourneys is a joke. Going to tournaments is a biproduct of being hungry and playing to win. Until everyone, including you, starts adopting a fierce competitive attitude comprised of fear, spite, jealousy and hatred, going out of town to get raped will mean literally nothing.
