I tried TF but I just didn’t like him at all. Even with dps.
Just lost a game with an 0/6 nidalee and a 2/4 kat. It wasn’t on TT though.
TT i’ve been doing really well being soraka and just healing the tanks. She does such a good job on the smaller map because I have less people I have to heal and at lower levels the heals do more.
TF is pretty terrible now, he’s pretty much been reduced to backdooring turrets or trying to kill almost dead champs. He doesn’t seem too useful in a team fight. I don’t play TF normally so this is just my thoughts.
Yi is a pub stomper character. At least through all the games I’ve played with, against, as him, in premade games, he gets singled out and shutdown on the spot. Same with Kat and Eve.
The trick to winning TT is having tanks. There’s a reason why they’re calling it Twisted Tankline.
It’s not beta anymore. They’re running on Korean MMO style pay system. You don’t technically get any benefit by paying, but in order to get a full set of runes and level to 30 you need to play a lot (not that much for level cap, but a full set of tier 3 runes is pricey.)
Anyways, I just bought Nidalee. I feel like I play her well enough, but I can’t seem to build her right. Is it worth it to go hybrid build is pure ability or pure physical damage usually better?
I used to play nidalee alot, I built her as a pure dps myself, going for trinity and bloodthirster and infinity edge. I personally went for phage before sheen just because aside from pounce nidalee doesn’t have any abilities to chase, and the slow from phage right away really helps get kills early game as well as provide some survivability from the ruby you use to build it.
Been playing this tons since my friends got me into the game. Used to play DoTA/HoN really hardcore, but ever since HoN went retail, I’ve decided to stick to LoL.
If anyone wants to play, add Koenig99. I’m almost level 18 with a 52-45 record. After starting with Poppy, I played a whole bunch of random heroes and have recently been playing Kassadin and Ryze tons, especially Kassadin. Dude is just so fun!
The Learning curve isn’t too hard, but there are a lot of trends that happen, such as the old early dragon, 5 man gank at 1 (very uncommon), early baron, opponents lizard 5 man at level 1.
Stuff like that is stuff you have to watch for.
As far as tips, just focus on not dying and getting your creeps and neutrals as high as possible, watching the mini map and learning some really solid item builds. But that’s about as basic as it gets.
biggest tips are map awareness and last hitting. Last hitting a mob give you a bunch of gold and is very important for being properly geared. Map awareness means don’t go attacking that lonely tower when none of the 5 opponents are on the map, if you see 4 people in one lane, either go to that lane and help out or push you rlane extra hard and then run the hell away when all 4 of them dissapear from the other lane…
Kill dragon every chance youhave, gives your whole team 130 gold, it’s amazing and your team should get every dragon kill if possible.
Avoid dying. This is #1. Check the map frequently, learn to recognize when an enemy champion has disappeared for a dangerously long amount of time, and learn to recognize when your lane opponents are trying to bait you in to get ganked.
If you can, read up or watch what better players do with that champion. Learn to last-hit. If you play like a newbie at the start, it becomes obvious you’re a weak link, you’re going to get harassed and picked on for the rest of the game.
Boots should almost always be the first thing you buy the first time you head back to the fountain. Few champions can survive very long without the 50 speed from Boots 1.
Typically once one tower has fallen, the attackers from that lane cut out and start ganking other lanes. If it’s at all possible, try to keep your opponents from taking your first tower too early. If the champions you’re laned against just have great matchups against the ones your champ, ask to switch lanes with someone who might do better.
If your only concern is winning, spend your IP on only Tier 1 runes, and then Tier 3 runes once you are Lv20. Don’t blow IP on champions unless you know they are good and not obsoleted by anybody else. Of course if you care more about having fun then feel free to blow IP wherever you feel like.
As you learn more about the game, learn to predict what will happen throughout the game based on what champions/spells you see at the loadout, and plan accordingly. If you see a Shaco with Exhaust/Ignite, be prepared to play extremely cautiously at the start. If you see all spellcasters, plan to get magic resist items instead of armor items.
If you spend real money on this game at all, just buy entire bundles of champions. $35 will buy you like 40 champs… if you buy them as a bundle. If you buy them separately the same $35 probably just buy six or seven. Keep an eye out on forums for when Riot asks for help, they are usually very generous with the RP if you are particularly helpful.
hmm I disagree with the boots first philosophy, there’s not a single character I buy boots first on. Generally I grab an item that increases my effectiveness in a general way first(IE if i’m a tank I’ll grab HP, if I’m dps I’ll grab +damage). If the first item i buy takes a lot to build I’ll usually do the first combination and pick up the cheapest boots, then finish my first item, then finish boots. Don’t get me wrong, boots are incredibly important, and any time you can buy something and spend the 350 on the cheap boots you should, and boots should be the second item you build at the latest, I just don’t think boots always first is generally the best.
He’s saying that the first time you go back to the fountain you snag boots, he’s not saying boots first he’s saying boots second, and this is almost always the way you want to play, with every champion, sometimes I’ll get other stuff, but it really depends on the flow of the game/champ.
On a final note.
Right now, I’d like to say that the best summoner spell combo is cleanse/ghost.
I recently got into LoL recently about a week ago or so and I’ve been playing a lot still noobish on a few things (esp. matchups 40+ champs hard to figure out match ups) and right now I’m working on my late game item buying.
But of all the guides I’ve read all of them basically said the samething depending on the class first buy is always a sapphire/ruby crystal then 2 pots health/mana depending on character.
Then mostly boots 2nd and whatever 3rd and so on. I’ve found this method to be my most successful of early game item buying.
But again I’m still a scrub so I could be wrong. Can anyone give me the low down on Janna? I missed my chance to try her, and it seems support characters are my niche.
