Just went 20/2/6 with Akali. Got 2 quadra kills in the same game, sooooo much fun.
Should I buy Kassadin? I want a top tier char that carries sucky ass fucking idiots.
He’s definitely not top tier, more of a niche character. Good for blowing up squishies ala Akali, but not really that great.

League of Legends @ World Cyber Games will be broadcast today after the Starcraft II tournament (which is currently showing):
Phreak will be doing the commentary for the LoL matches and imo, he did an awesome (and exciting) job at PAX. He used to be a high-level competitive Warcraft III player as well as a commentator at tournaments in that game as well. Does a good job of explaining things while following the pace of the game, he will also explain great plays when they happen and quickly explain why it was a great play so even a beginner can understand it.
I love SC2, but the commentary guy for SC2 at WCG is having a bit too many nerdgasms, but nice commentary otherwise.
Great stuff in that first WCG match. Game 2 (which is actually the final match) is almost starting, great stuff!

Also, check out the Southeast Asian Tournament that builds up to the WCG Finals in LA. It’s shown like a reality show, episode schedule and all, with some strong promotion (and production):

Just got into the game. I’m enjoying it a lot so far, but holy fuck is laning against ranged champions a damned chore.
Very true… I started off as Ashe so I didn’t realize this too much until I switched to a melee (Shen). At least he can throw his vorpal blade to last hit creeps or regenerate health.
I found the best way to deal with this was to play a more defensive laning game, only last-hitting if I could afford to–which generally pulls the creeps closer to my tower.
That said, last night I hit a roadblock I must overcome. Laning against Vlad is a real pain in the ass, he’s damn good at harassing with a 0 mana ranged lifesteal (on top of being an amazing escape artist). Combined with a good Ashe, it was a real hell–but a fun challenge.
Imo the trick against vlad is to harass just enough to force him to use sanguine pool, because once he comes up from that he doesn’t really have any more tools to escape left
