I second this, without lurking in the 604 thread I’ve always thought vancouver just didn’t have the organizational skills for a tournament. We definitely have the players though.
You could advertise this in the Northwest forums. I’m not sure how long ago you guys decided to have this but I’m sure people from south of Vancouver (like Seattle) would’ve been interested in joining.
This tournament has limited capacity, though. There’s no point in making a thread in the Northwest forums if we can only allow 16 or fewer people to join. But for bigger ones, yeah sure.

Is the scene typically “friendly enough” that I’d probably be able to use someone’s stick, or would I have to go buy one? I straight up CANT use a pad, and dropping 200 to buy a good stick when I only play at the arcade would seem…excessive.
Yeah, someone would probably let you use their stick. If I had something to carry mine, I’d let you use mine. But my bag won’t arrive for two to four weeks. <.< And nothing is too excessive when it comes to Street Fighter! -looks at bank account- ahhhh. _

Maybe if they don’t care about the condition of their stick. I don’t want to carry it on the bus and all through Metrotown. And what if it rains?! Then I have no way of protecting it. Hence why I am waiting for my bag to arrive.
