Why isn’t there a thread for this? Well, now there is.

I’m playing the beta as much as I can before it ends Sunday.

I never played the beta but I’ve pre-ordered the game and will be playing it as soon as it comes out on the 21st.

I’m playing the beta now and absolutely love it. Definitely a day 1 purchase for me.

God of War stage, MGS stage, Ninja Warrior stage, and SotC stage are the ones that really stand out.

I slapped Vegett0 into a pit.

The mustache made me do it.

Jealousy makes you do things like that.

Has anyone else got some weird rewards? There was a stage that gave me cowboy boots and gloves upon completing it. These were actual items that my sackboy could wear. I guess it was made by a developer. Oh well, it won’t matter much soon.

The RROD item was still the best item I got.

I’d recommend:

World of Color
HARD GAME !?
G O R O G O R O
ACT!!!

They sould be labeled under difficult.

Is it still to late for me to get the beta. If not where the hell can I find one?

Sadly the beta’s over but feel free to add me, Heat128.

I’ve already pre ordered at Gamestop, tell me, do they give you the code to get Kratos right there on the spot, or when the game actually comes out?

They gave it to me when I asked for it. I plan to cancel my pre-order soon and head to gamecrazy for the pouch. I’ll see if I can get another code before I do from another employee.

i want this :<
gimme gimme gimme

Comes out next week!
I’ll prolly pre-order mine tomorrow.

You can get Old Snake & Kratos sackboys!? How?

buying this game asap. good to see the old mgo guys back together no homo

There were quite a few people who ended up with additional beta keys instead of just receiving the one. I knew at least 2 people who got 6 additional keys. I was able to grab one from them and had the opportunity to test the beta out. There were some lag issues here and there but for the most part the game runs incredibly smooth.

I knew the graphics would be good but when you see this thing in action of a HD tv it is just absolutely gorgeous. The details and textures were amazing and I was thoroughly impressed.

A lot of the levels were mediocre but there were several that stood out for me. Definitely a blast playing with 3 other people that you know but a little co-ordination goes a long way. It’s quite annoying when one person goes on ahead and then everyone else ends up off screen and timing out because one person couldn’t wait. I think the best levels I played were God of War, Shadow of the Collosus, and a few mario themed levels. There was one interesting level that had the theme of being in a factory. You had to reach the core of the stage and destroy it. It was a very well made level and had a section where you stood inside a wheel and let the machine drag you into new areas. It had that automated feel to it that was fun to watch.

The game supports bluetooth headsets and obviously the Eye Toy. There were some clever uses of the Eye toy in some levels but I’d like to see what else it can do. The beta didn’t have a whole lot for character customization so I look forward to the full game. I was so dissapointed that the dragon head wasn’t available in the demo but I had fun pasting stickers on my sackboy. He ended up looking like Frankenstein with multicolored body parts. Though there was a limit to how many stickers you could put on your sackboy before it would start deleting other stickers you placed on him. It was annoying because the stickers don’t wrap around the entire body part that well so you would need to apply several and it was pretty difficult in doing that so you had to be precise with your sticker placement.

Kratos and Nariko sackboy/girls are only available via preorder. The Old Snake and Sephiroth sackboys will be available via downloadable content, which most likely means you’ll have to pay a small fee to get them. If it’s cheap enough I’ll most likely buy them.

My biggest gripe with the game is the level designers. There are a lot of flaws to the levels that force you to restart the level when something unexpected happens. These people need to test their levels more before publishing them because it gets quite frustrating when you encounter oddball events. I remember playing a One Piece Skypea level (complete with the recreation of the Going Merry) and if you didn’t do things a specifc way it would cause the ship to flip over and you have to restart the level. I doubt the designer had tested his level properly so stuff like that really needs to get fixed.

Is this game, in a nutshell, a platformer with user-created content?

Also, do the sack ppl have any other skills besides jumping, grabbing onto things, etc.? (i.e. do they shoot stuff?)
