|| Litchi || Thread of Mantenbou and Double D's

That helped, thanks ^^

i have always hated numbers notating movements, it takes me a minute to break down what I’m looking at. It’s too bad bc this forum has the ability to use joystick notation but since most of this is taken from dustloop and other sources we end up with the numbers. Just a personal note, sorry.

Yesterday was my first time playing, so far I’ve only used V-13, Hakuman and Litchi. I’m pretty sure I’m going to be sticking with Litchi, I’m a fan of her rushdown and the staff really intrigues me as an element in the battle.

Good stuff, thanks.

nvm…

I can’t get that to land while still being a true combo. Someone help please. It hits but then the combo counter turns dark.

edit. Nevermind I just wasn’t doing the jump qcf + c fast enough. You have to do it immediately after leaving the ground to connect the next 2c.

I cannot get the DP+D to land after the 6C, the staff is always too far out.

Glad you got it down.

I didn’t look to see what combo you’re talking about, but try dashing up just enough so that you can continue the combo but not too far to the point where you get the staff back too fast.

Good to see you playing BB magman. How much are you focusing on BB compared to SF4?

going back to the thread Lord Knight posted, they refer to “staff2” which is when the opponent is hit by the returning staff.

you should wait for “staff2” to hit, then juggle with 6C which allows enough time for the staff to become re-equipped allowing you to execute the DP+D

SF4 EVO is my first priority, but I have to put time into BB to just compete. Being new to these type of games, I don’t want to be left behind. Litchi needs a bit more polishing than other characters, IMO. At least the other common ones, lol.

On a side note, I’ve uploaded the officially DVD box set tutorial, for those who want to view without having to go back and forth with switching discs.

Thanks MM. Just what I needed =D.

BTW what button configuration are you guys using?

If you’re talking about stick config…

I have mine setup like Config B.

So I’ve kinda got that midscreen BnB listed up there down…this game gets more fun by the minute!!

I’ll be using the Boobie Lady a whole bunch over the weekend since I wont be going to the Anime Expo this year.

She’s not quite as Jam-licious but I like her.

catching kids with litchis air throw loop 3 or 4 times is bliss online.

I’ve been using type B since I started at the arcade, but last nite I decided to switch to Type A as I feel Litchi is more accustomed to it.

and omg… trying to fight against your muscle memory, relearning all your moves, pressing wrong buttons and consciously trying not to hit the incorrect buttons is a bitch!!!

but then I played arcade mode on hells difficulty against a cheating-ass psychic Hakumans… after an hour of trying to kill him I can definitely say I’m much more comfortable and adjusted now.

btw I’ll most likely be entering the Anime Expo tourney if anyone’s gonna be there!!

as long as I can wake my ass up in time coz theyre starting at 11AM… and on saturdays I dont wake up until the afternoon and I live over an hour away X_X

foward grab to 623 D to 632146 D, it’s hilarious catching scrubby Jin’s with that combo

I’m using configuration B, it’s pretty comfortable to have the drive down there to tap when needed. The rest are aligned so I never get confused.

Finally getting the hand of her B’n’Bs!!! They’ve improved my game leaps and bounds from my originally scrubby self.

Too bad I live in England… T.T The network mode is a bit hit and miss for me - sometimes I get awesome connections, and other times lag kills my combos… XD

Second day with the game and I’m not letting up with the Boobies Lady…

O-O~

I’m having trouble doing one of Litchi’s combos from 623D:

623D > 66 > 6C > 5C 2C > sj.29 > j.B j.C j.D > j.66 > j.C > land > 6C (2 hits) > 623D > 6C (2 hits) 3C (I transcribed it from the DVD while my internet is down, sorry if it’s incorrect)

But the 5C in bold there is where I think I’m having problems. I can dash forward and land 5C 2C just fine, but the air follow-up is where I always mess up. I’m always too high after the first j.D in order for the next j.C to connect after the air dash. And I’m not too sure on the oki timing for the 5C either.
