goddamn, this is why I play litchi. finally some great Riichi combos and alot of super combos also, prob my favorite combo vid so far. Riichi combos will probably be the next “level” for litchi, as they seem to do more damage then her known standard stuff. and they just look so damn sexy…
After 3C, D (hold)(release) how do I catch up to them to get more hits?
I see it in combo videos all the time, but I can’t seem to get the air dash down. Right now I’m doing super jump cancel into air dash, but I’m just not close enough.
Don’t, or Manten cover really. Don’t jump towards him with J.B’s i’m pretty sure Hakumen’s 6A will stuff if. You could try very low J.C’s like minerva said. If they’re spaced, and timed properly you could hit hakumen without any risk of getting anti-aired. If you just so happen to get a counter hit then you get a free combo. Maybe empty air dashes and random cross-up J.2Ds?
Edit: for the 3C thing, you’re supposed to instant air dash (IAD 96 is the input, but remember you have to go back to the neutral position in-between so it’s really 956) and J.C. Then continue with either haku or 6C depending on spacing.
is your airdash jC missing (because of tech or just being too far)? try doing 3C, hold D, do airdash input, and kinda hit C and release D at the same time. so it kinda looks like 3C, stick place, litchi airdashes, and the stick pops the opponent up into your jump C. you have more time than you think to release D.
Its the range that’s a problem, they are just too far away. I will try the 6C, seems easier.
Let me ask one think tho. I have been doing standing B, C, (41236 D, C(the low one that launches them)) when they are close, and replacing the 41236 D, C, with just 3C if they are far. This is the correct way to do it right? It seems like the 3C is meant to be used when your opponent is more far away.
…3C, [D] ]D[, dash 6C is actually harder to hit with in most cases, imo; especially since 3C is generally only used when they are too far to 41236D~C.
If you’re trying to do B, C(2), 41236D~C and it’s missing, you can also try B, C(1), 41236D~C. I’ve had the second hit of C push them just outside of range several times if you hit the B from near max range.
I just do the combo that will put them into the corner. ItsuuC combos travel really far, so I do that when my back is closer to my side of the corner. When I’m midscreen or closer, I use the 3c combos. The ItsuuC combos from midscreen tend to get sloppy once I hit the corner because they travel too far horizontally.
i had problems connecting the 2C also but i changed the way I CHUN’D
for that combo I no longer jump(8 or 9) THEN chun, instead i do a quick swoop of 7+qcf+c for the chun. which then leads to the 2C now easier than before
