Dude, I have a ps3, just add me on psn. I think I’m hitting my limits on my friends list though, I added a bunch of people so I have like 2-6 players for the whole cast to learn matchups. X_X This game is crack.
My connection is pretty bad. I have to move my PS3 down to the family room just to get the thing to connect. But it’s just that, the family room, and I don’t always have the luxury to play down there I’m hitting training mode hardcore on my next day off, it sucks getting those much needed hits and not knowing what comes next, or dreading the timing
okay, i’ve tried everything and i can’t make it done, i need help
here is the thing,
i have problem with this combo around 3/4 screen (1/4 from the corner)
BC itsuuC j.chun 2C jBC D ad.C land 6C etc…
noticed that i’m talking about range which is too far for:
BC itsuuC j.chun land 6C C etc…
the problem is that the stuff comeback to fast and instead of 6C stuffless i get the stuff version for that move.
i tried to go straight to tsuame, 2C, jB, C, B and so on, but no use. i just can’t get it done, any help here?
got back from Evo and got straight pwned at the BB tourney
I beat 2 ppl easy, but got sent to losers by a guy named Copper Drabbit (?) and peaced by a dood named 2gbCombo
arakune sent me to losers, I’ll worry about that matchup later. I got peaced by getting out-poked by Noel. Every time I stuck out a standing B I got beat to the punch and ate a combo.
I needa learn IB->tsubame… any good blocksrtings/characters you guys would recommend for playback practice in training mode??
What do you guys use your meter for typically? I don’t really like Litchi’s supers so I tend to end up using bars on guard cancel, faultless and the occasional RC. I like the staff placed super for obvious reasons but I tend to rely on my staff too much and don’t really place it out long enough to get them set up for it. Any tips to using the secret garden super correctly? I never played Millia in Guilty Gear…
When using Daisharin in pressure, you have 2 starters - 6D or 3D. 3D if you think they’ll try something (Noel 3C, a DP, w/e), 6D if you think they’ll jump. Afterwards, 3DDDDD. So either 6D3D(x5) or 3D(x6). Then high/low as normal.
Also there’s no faultless lol, you have a barrier meter.
bump
ahm, i demand a answer!!!
someone answer that duty (lk)
:china:
if you’re saying your doing the combo while very close to the corner, it will not work because as you see the staff will come back too fast. instead of doing j. B, C, D, dash, C, land, 6C, try
j. B, C, D, dash, B, C, land, tsubame.
I beleive the original only works from mid screen or more.
Arakune actually gives me a lot of trouble. Any tips?
I haven’t had any problems like this, but you might be hitting D too soon… or hitting the second J.C too late. /shrug
The timing is pretty lenient as long as there is enough space for the staff to fly out. Have you tried with your back to the corner (ie. full screen)?
back to the croner it work flawlessly of course…
minerva: i will try this, the problem i might see there is that sometimes they can tech between the"
ad j.B j.C which is pretty annoying in the 3C combos, but haven’t actually tried it in itsuu
------ /\ combos, so i might as well give it a try, thx.

*tech here *
yeah I’ve never really tried it with the 3C combo, dount it would work, but works with the itsuu.
Good shit, LordKnight. I’m having trouble with those Riichi combos…after the third hit from the top of the staff, I can’t get the falling jC after staff2 to combo reliably…
Also, that corner staffless combo, I can’t seem to get the haku after the first hatsu… it just won’t come out fast enough. Any suggestions?
Noob question I suppose, but what’s IB and FD?
I’ve been just getting by on the BnB and sketchy corner oki, but with Evo over and everything…time to get in the lab seriously. Speaking of Evo, I went two and out to a Tao and a Hakumen :woot:. So much work is to be done…Any of you that want to get some matches in over XBL, would be greatly appreciated.
i think that with some char you need the stuff to hit otg in order to hit the falling j.c, just hold D a little longer
IB- is for instant block (4 at the moment of the hit)
FD- arrrm i guess its short for *Faultless Defence *(or however you write it) which was in guilty, almost same as barrier here (4+A+B).
Took me a bit to get this one down too. A note that I think would help people initially is that, obviously, you’re doing two series of ‘Three Dragons’, but that the first ends after the first Chun. I kept trying to Hatsu in the first series and then link the second Haku.
Do the HakuxxChun like normal, pause (timing is right around the dust cloud as you land) link a fresh Hatsu, buffer the input so you can hit the Haku as soon as you land, then go into the second Chun, 5B~
HakuxxChun, HatsuxxHakuxxChun, 5B, j.B, dj.C[D] ]D[, falling j.C, 6C, Tsubame, 6C, 3C
Been trying to work Riichi into my corner mixups lately. In combos where it’s possible to HakuxxHatsuxxChun after the 3C, I’ll do the rekkas, then cancel the Chun with Riichi A causing Litchi to jump on the staff. It makes it look like you’re in now in the corner, but if you drop from the staff with a j.B when they tech you’ll cross them up, putting them back in the corner and giving you the start of a staffless corner combo, or putting you in a position to continue pressure if they blocked the crossup.
It’s been working well enough as online shenanigans, but is this something that’s worth working with, or is it too much of a risk that they could get out of the corner? Should I just stick with Shishin and basic high/low mixups?
Looks like 6B’s fake into throw. I think you just tap B again and nothing comes out instead of the poke. I don’t use it and I’ve only done it on accident. Still have a lot to learn in this game
Hold B during 6B and you get the fake.
How’s the Litchi area been doing? Just got back from EVO…I entered that BB tournament but didn’t play. I was too focused on SF4 and ate 2 DQ’s lol.
i know the feeling getting stick place instead of stick upper is a heartbreaker
so…carl. he hits me once i lose 70-80% of my life. if things are going right i can keep him out for most of the match by playing like a pussy like trying to smack the doll every time it activates. eventually carl sneaks in a hit and then its ggpo.
i know carl’s hp sucks but it feels like litchi’s damage output cant keep up
Coincidentally, I got tagged hard by a half-decent Carl online last night meself, the first time ever since I started playing the game…
Admittedly I did not bear witness to the much-feared “clap loop” on that occasion, but the player I faced had enough tools to defeat my half-decent Litchi, though, to be fair, I have had no real experience whatsoever with the matchup… =_=
That’s my two pence on Mr. Clover…
Oh, and my execution still lets me down… T.T I swear, not pulling off tsubame gaeshi consistantly, online or offline, really kills me…
O-O~
PS…
Hey MagMan, it’s been a bit quiet around here… Hope you had fun at EVO, shame about the BB tourney, I heard HeartNana really tore things up with his Noel, and it would have been interesting to hear whether a good Litchi would have faired well… ^_^;;;
