List of moves you should red parry?

I need some help guys

what are all the standard red parry a good player should do?

I know necro’s twisting punch is one
ken’s back+ mk
dudley’s ex back swing blow
and yun’s jab short strong

what are the others?

I red parry the last hit of fireball supers

Ken-
mp, hp chain
low short, jab, short
SA3 (2nd hit)

Yang-
low mk, slash
mp,hp, b-hp chain

Dudley-
EX Machine Gun Blow (last hit)
SA3 (last hit)

red parry 2nd to last hit, jump parry straight up last hit, land -> jumping combo

too risky even for a casual game

a player can react and continue the full combo from their if you miss the red parry where as if you red parry the last hit they wont be able to react as fast

cool.

Is that as hard as it sounds? :amazed:

Some of the ideas in here don’t seem too logical. Especially for a person who registered this month/just started playing, there really are no moves you “should” be red parrying. You can get by just fine without using them at all. You misparry the last hit of EX swingblow, you get knocked down and pushed into the corner against freaking Dudley. That’s what you spent the whole match trying to avoid.

If you’re that interested in using red parries, start with the ones that are relatively safe in the event that you make a mistake. Otherwise, don’t bother until you strengthen other areas of your game.

I disagree\

ken’s back+mk,
ken’s ex hurricane kick,
ken’s cr. short, jab, <short>

should basically all be red parried. The first 2 leave you at virtually no disadvantage if you get hit (aside from the life you lose).

The benefits of risking a red parry in these situations outweigh the benefits of blocking them

well red parries is definitely somethin you shouldnt use in tournaments

but in casuals it seems fine to red parry moves in order to change the other players way of playing…besides even the newest of players will have to start sometime…this IS just a list of moves that are normally red parried anyways

yea what gaijin said, you don’t need to learn red parrying as of now if you just started out
its more of a flashy technique that sends a message, “you’re too predictable”

but if you’re really into the red parrying, just watch Hayao (japanese Hugo player) play and learn from him lol

Red parrying shortx3 or short-jab-short is safe and easy. NO ONE is going to hit confirm the last hit. If they super and it connects, either they knew you were going for it in the first place, or they just committed to doing it, aka fuck it I’m doing it anyways.

Also, what’s risky in a CASUAL game? Nothing. It’s a casual game. Doing sick ass shit like the dudley ex mgb red parry is what makes casual games fun.

kuroda is better for red parrying than Hayao…if you watch his dvd’s kuroda goes for red parries 99% of the time

exactly

i do that all the time and it looks cool :bgrin:

hayao is free tho lol

Kuroda vs ino is free

How often do you see hayao red parrying things

more than me lol

Red parrying is not essential to be a good player.

Ken’s taunt.

ragin demon, elenas SA3

is there a video of someone grabbing akuma when he’s raging?
i remember i saw one a long time ago but i could be wrong

…horribly wrong lol
