I have spent a few hours trying to research this myself, but it seems hard to find info on cooperative fighting games.
Im looking for fighting games that allow two (or more) players to play on a team against the A.I… Or allow 4 people to play at once against each other. (2v2, 3v1, or FFA since u could simulate teams in FFA if u wanted)
ALSO. If anyone knows of any beat em up style games that have fighting game style move execution ( quarter circles, half circles, ect…) Please let me know.
Thanks for everyone’s help

Wikipedia seems to have an exaustive list of fighting games by genre. But they did not include the specific option i am looking for. .
----------- Ill keep a list of games everyone comes up with in this post for convenience.-------------
Fatal Fury (the first one, dunno about the sequels.)
Mega Man: The Power Battle
Monster Maulers
Saturday Night Slam Master’s (dunno if you’d consider this a fighter, kinda a fighter/wrestling hybrid.)
yes. I mention rampage because you can cause damage to the other player. So you can co-op or play against each other. Up to 3 players on arcade. Havent played later console versions
Dragon Ball XENOVERSE because even in the network test you can co-op with others for the Parallel Quests, so it supports 3 players co-op, it has PVE content besides PVP.
Also Battle of Z has 4 players co-op online, so that counts too.
Thanks for everyone’s help so far. One good thing I think coop games would be good for is easing friends
oobs into the genre. Giving them time to practice execution while playing with and watching someone who is better. While at the same time accomplishing goals even if they are simple.
