now with occaisional ex-CADC’s and an actual cross-over setup… it’s progress I guess. >.>
That is actually false. Steve’s, Sagat’s, Julia’s SA’s cannot punish even though they start-up in 3 frames. Nor can vega punish it ither with his 4f long pokes. Nor can Lei’s SA which starts up in 4 frames. Trust me I’ve tested this multiple times over. I would never tell a lie when it comes to Juri…ever.
Honestly any M attack into Fuhajin kick pushes characters to far back to punihs even with quick reversals like Ken’s SA.
Yes, just double checked to make sure Fuhajin kick is still -3…it is. Ryu can’t punish it with his SA either…which starts in 4f. Steve’s, julia’s, Ryu’s, sagat’s…they can’t punish Fuhajin kick (at point blank range) with their SA’s. See don’t always believe on what you see. Besides the guide also said Sekku is now +2 on hit…yeah no…it’s still +3 since CH gives you +2 advantage not like in SFIV where M and H CH’s gave you three. I can link cr.mp after CH sekku. So don’t fret Fuhajin kick is still -3 on block. Nothing to fear.
Ok I stand corrected on Ken’s SA reaching even after canceling from a M attack…not a big deal. To burn 2 bars for just 340 dmg? Yeah maybe it’s he’s looking to end a match. That threat while still there is minimal. Nothing to worry about it. Funny how they gave Ken a shadow hitbox for his SA…like really…how absurd…doesn’t matter. I still plan on bodying Ken’s like noone’s business so whatever.
I keep adding things. Anyway, Point blank Fuhajin kicks will lose to Ken’s SA, Ibuki’s, RD, gief’s SA, and Sagat’s.
After canceling into a Fuhajin from anything Sagat’s Sa can longer punish Fuhajin kick.
I think after a blocked leg raise the first hit of Sagat’s super whiffs and Juri recovers before the 2nd hit reaches.
It does only if Juri cancels Fuhajin from something (anything Jab, strong, fierce etc etc). Otherwise Sagat can punish it…of course this is if it’s not meaty. If Fuhajin kick is used meaty is should be at the very least -1 or 0 on block.

How does this guy have nearly 18k BP…

I don’t know. Maybe he’s really that lucky when it comes to finding someone to play with. XD
He’s located in Korea, so probably he has a better chance of meeting Japanese and Chinese players compared to me.
…honestly the only time Juri should be doing BC’s is when you use kasatushibut mistimed a cancel or couldn’t get a proper read on the countered attack. Even then BC’s with Juri is pretty much or should be kept to a BARE and I mean BARE minimum. This cr. short crap BC stuff…that doesn’t fly with me. Took a good look everybody this is how pros play…real talk…rolls eyes

Sad fact is that depending on the team, boost canceling can lead to more damage than her actual combos in most situations. This is ESPECIALLY true if partnered with someone that has godlike options after launch like Nina, Kaz (well, EWGF Kaz…) and Xiao
Case in point: Juri’s highest practical damage (no jump-in, no CH) outside of the corner is 278, or 302 with a lk store.
Both of the following options yield more damage for less effort (313 damage, the boost I used was cr.lk xx fs.mp xx cr.hp which isn’t even optimal by boost chain standards):
Boost to Nina > cr.hp xx skullsplitter > cr.hp xx skullsplitter > ivory cutter (can tag back to Juri on first hit of ivory cutter or keep Nina in)
Boost to Nina > cr.hp xx skullsplitter > cr.hp xx skullsplitter > Launcher (relaunch back to Juri)
And this can be done from something like a max range far.lk… whereas her max damage combos typically require her to be in your face.
Not trying to start anything as I agree that boosting is over-abused as hell, but in many cases it IS a practical and even good option.
BC for Juri and Xiao? no you get much more damage with Juri and Xiao off tag canceling.I know this. I play with a Xiao player…yeah. No Bc should only be used in the abosulete emergencies. plus with my character I get way more dmg then off a measly BC. You can actually get all 4-5 EWGF off a H senpusha SC. Unlike a BC where you only get 3. since BC takes away 1 JP for your partner.

There are situations where it is neither possible or desirable to spend meter on a tag cancel (fighting a pressure monster like hwo and need meter for AC’s, saving for cross rush , need meter for reversals or you’re waiting to unleash a metered combo for a kill). For these, boost chains will yield more than a solo combo. Thats all I’m saying.
That and I’m fairly certain xiao can “cr.hk > stance cancel > j.hk > phoenix talon” off Juri’s launcher… could be wrong but she’s still got the safe tag sweep ender regardless.
cr.mk> H senpusha> SC, J.hk, or was it california roll into cyclone left then hakkesho combo almost 500 or was it over 500 right there for 1 bar. BC’s over SC combo’s is highly overrated. once you can get mix-ups going and setups BC’s are just another thing bringing you down. Honestly dark, I’m not telling you how to play, that’s your call…but that’s not how I wish to play. To me that’s just giving Hwo more opportunities and more recoverable health in the process. Besides I got kasatushi to back me up therefore saving my meter from using Ex senpusha. Hwo’s defense isn’t exactly solid just another shoto defense really.
But like I siad if that’s how you want to play…by all means I won’t stop you.
That Alisa was garbage. Good thing you got the win. Btw, instead of doing cr.mk after j.hp wait slightly and go for cl.hp into L senpusa a little extra dmg never hurts like that. DKO…u don’t see that too often.

I lost to him twice.
I’ll look into that. Maybe I’m doing it too early when I first attempted it.
