Really…that Juri was…odd I’ll say…good AA’s…kinda…but wasting meter for CA? that early? such a waste…

Pretty good though…after a SC…you got the hell attack down but no st.mp, st.hp, H PC? Does much more damage easily. and it allows your opponent to Qr easily. Also I would teleport more often to the point where he wants to punish you for it. Also if you’re willing to put in the effort for an AA sc with Juri I recommend cr.hp, jc, j.hp, nj.hk, H senpusha, Sc, hell attack, st.mp, st.hp, H PC for I think it was 529 dmg total. also start abusing Juri’s cl.hp on people’s wake-up. you can away with so much with that move. plus there’s a small gap between cl.hp and Fuhajin (2f gap) so pressing buttons nets a counterhit.

This is moreso my thing and it’s quite risky (but I love danger) is keep Bison in since his pokes easily outclass kaz’s and guile’s. Honestly I would have just stayed in waited for that opportunity and BC his ass. But that’s taking a risk most would rather not do. But I’d rather take that risk then risk having Juri lose half her health instantly without being able to do anything,

Yeah I can do the hell attack combo it does 352 iirc by itself but I like hard knockdown vs certain characters because it starts to scale in certain situations, and sometimes the positioning psycho crusher leads is bad as you go into a corner. What do you mean about close hp, are you saying it’s safe if it cancels into fireball? For frame trap wouldn’t it be smarter to just walk up and do stand light punch because that leads to more damage (stand light punch x 2, low strong xx heavy pinwheel) but I think my juri’s game is weak when my opponent gets knocked down tbh so let me know what that does please I’ll try it out. Juri has such low life I try to play conservatively with her. Getting mashed out sucks but I don’t want to give my opponent 100% respect

yes. cl.hp is -8 by itself. Canceling into fuhajin kick leaves you at -3 on a range that no 3f normal can reach you. In that situation only about 2-3 Sa’s can hit…in other words you’re practically safe from everyone. But you already knew that.

What I also mean is (tested this myself) there is a small gap between cl.hp and Fuhajin kick, (a 1-2f gap) you’re opponent can invincible through it but pressing anything that’s not invincible nets a CH every time. my usual combo if I score the cl.hp is cl.hp, fuhajin kick, L senpusha. deals 230 dmg and and quick dash in to keep up momentum. crushes throws and lows at the same time…can’t really ask for a better normal in that regard. it makes fighting grapplers easier escpecially against reversal friendly marduks.

Yeah he could always air grab you but you tell me how many marduks (unless it’s obvious) are gona attempt to airgrab you on their wake-up? I can already tell you…not many…noone is that gusty. the 230 dmg may not seem like much…do it 1-3 times it’s either gona get blocked (which Fuhajin covers your back) or they press buttons in between cl.hp and fuhajin netting a Ch…

now if they catch on what’s going and you can opt to switch it up with kasatushi and get away for free.

I’d start abusing it. You can also SC off cl.hp, fuhajin kick and get a nice 400+ dmg combo off with JurixBison easily.

For shikusen really if it’s aimed at the feet it then becomes -3 at point blank range…that’s pretty safe from non 3f attacks.

However…you can actually make it safer depending on a few things.

  1. spacing (kinda obvious but important)
  2. canceling into THE 2ND IMPACT YEAH!)
  3. using the right version of shikusen
    Now you’re probably wondering why 2nd impact? it’s -5 on block.

Why yes it is…but have you ever gone into training and fiddled with shikusen’s follow-ups on block? canceling into 2nd impact casues enough pushback that 80-90% of normals can reach that startup in 5f or less example is akuma’s sweep. that’s one of the few normals can that reach you.

Shoryuken’s whiff, CS whiffs, rising kick is too slow, sky rocket…CONNECTS!!!..on a blocking Juri… and only the H and Ex verions actually reach her but Juri is able to block in time…hell she can even use kasatushi to hwo’s reversal if she wanted.

it makes giefs L spd whiff but that requires a little bit better spacing but still possible.

Basically canceling shikusen into 2nd impact pretty much makes you safe from almost all attacks. There are a few normals and a handful of SA’s that can beat you…but that’s nothing to worry about.

Noone can walk up and throw you either and if anyone is dumb enough to stick out a move that’s slower then 5f, counter will be your best friend. Hell maybe you’ll get lucky and score a free AA combo. because from that range cross-up attempts are not possible unless you’re a floaty character but even then it’s like (oh look floaty character cool I’ll just walk back slightly…BAM!)

Not even the “top tier” characters can punish you properly. Hwo and Law can’t punish you at all, Chun requires a little spacing (not much). So like I said you’re almost 100% safe from everything.

It’s -4 actually. Thank you stealth nerfs! But yea, you’re mostly safe due to range. Just dont try doing it against someone like ken when they have 2 bars >.>

Damn I’ll still be at work T.T Guess I’ll just be watching later on, unless I get extremely lucky and get back before its done lol.

A Juri user on XBL whose name escapes me, used this against me a month or so ago during the OTS and I had to take it to the lab and see if I was going crazy or just not punishing properly. Good to have my suspicions confirmed by the actual numbers, lol.

is their a video of someone doing this hp thing? Just curious. Will it beat someone pressing buttons on wakeup (eg 3-4 frame buttons)

It works, he’s caught me with it a couple times. It’s also fairly hard to reversal through if you’re not familiar with the blockstun timing after cl.hp.
