I’ll try it right now…stay posted as I’ll get back in a few minutes.
EDIT: Okay, AOP stance goes under Ryu’s hadoken no matter how many times I dash forwards or backwards so that is good. As for Flower Power, it is odd. It does go over Ryu’s cr.LMH kicks, but it’s start up is slow in the end and by the time you predict their move, I think there are better options.
KumaOso, from what I tried, Flower Power has horrible juggle potential. If they are jumping in at you, you have to input flower power before they start the jump for it to hit so you have to predict, and if they block it, it isn’t safe on block. Also, from what I have tried and can think of, Flower Power is too slow to juggle off of any of Xiaoyu’s normal or special moves.
Her Oki game on the other hand I would think is pretty lackluster. She doesn’t have many options if they are pressuring her, as she needs to be in control of the game in order to have the upper hand. She doesn’t have a move that can protect both her front and her back either like Chun’s SBK for example. For the most part, she’ll have to rely on rolling away or tricking them into thinking she is going to run away to create space. Hey, nobody can be perfect, right lol?
Yeah, after I realised I was chaining into rather than link it become much easier. I just completed all her trials. Once you figure out the timing of her links, it becomes really easy.
Okay, so Heavy Flower Power is somewhat safe on block, anyone with long limbs will be able to reach Xiaoyu, but some people won’t be able to, however Flower Power still has a slow startup. I think it may be in the game as a way to avoid low hits as it can go over some of them (not sure about all).
After watching her reveal video, go to 0:20 seconds.

you can see that Bison tries his cr.roundhouse and it fails to H flower power which can then be comboed out of into other moves, so I guess that would be Flower Power’s significance.
As for her “oki” game since I now know the proper term, I think Xiaoyu can be pretty tricky if you don’t know how to verse her considering she has very easy ways to go high and low. If you can try to bait a low block, you can do her :mk::f: which is a fast overhead and puts them in a juggle state or you can go AOP and do her sweep kicks (rarely used can be difficult to predict). Also, in RD, I realized why Back Layout was good, it is a very easy way to cross up crouching opponents. Though it can still be blocked if they are smart, to those unprepared, it is an easy cross up that puts them in a hard knockdown.
Honestly, I don’t think Xiaoyu has any that I can think of off the top of my head. None of her moves can protect her front and back, and unless one of the EX moves gives her a different property (which is highly unlikely). After she gets knockdown, I don’t believe there is way to go automatically into a stance, so that gives you only her moves from her normal stance like her :qcf: or flip kicks. Honestly, I think Xiaoyu is better off trying to roll away to create some space.
Mistrust hits the fireball away at different directions based on the button pressed. LK kicks it straight back, MK kicks it up diagonally up and HK kicks it straight above her.
KumaOso, Flower Power isn’t an overhead, it is a mid attack, but it can jump over low normals (I haven’t tried Hugo though).
Also, I’m not sure what would be her best move against a Rufus dive kick. She has a lot trouble if she is pressured because none of her moves are extremely fast. Also, Phoenix Talon is easily her best anti-air…I think I’ll try it up against Rufus’ dive kick.
