Also, I’m pretty sure the patch might come out around April 3rd, since that is when they are releasing their first big DLC stuff, and considering the infinites aren’t too numerous yet, I would guess Xiaoyu’s infinite won’t be around this time next month, so I think if you can get it now, great, but if you don’t know it, it probably isn’t worth it to take a lot of time out to try and get it.
Still stuck on only 3 loops. The funny thing is, I’m doing those 3 loops consistantly but after the third I put in the exact same motion but my sweep won’t cancel for some reason :S
Are you doing her stancel (stance cancel) or CADC? If you are doing the stancel, I had the same problem you did originally, the timing doesn’t change at all, you just have to perfect the timing which is easy after a while. A lot of time I realized I wasn’t allowing the joystick to reach the neutral state again, since I use a fightstick, and other times I panicked and tried rushing out the cr.:hk:
As long as you get 3 loops you should be happy thats the minimum you should aim for since it does more damage than regular hakkesho cr hp hk talon, think of the next hits as a bonus.
I’ve pretty much got the loop down 90% offline on pad, online can’t say the same lol, what gave me the trouble learning the loop i was thinking too much about the button inputs to make sure i was doing it correctly, got that out of my head and was able to do it more consistently, remember don’t think FEEL!!!
Midscreen: :k: :k: :k:, :p: :p: (Turn of Fortune), :d:, :p:, far s.:mp: xx :k: :k: :k:, lk roll -> :p: :p:, :p: (EX Turn of Fortune) has hit people if they quickrise after the far s.mp. “It has hit someone” isn’t a ringing endorsement, and they have to quickrise after the far s.mp, but if they do Xiao ends up on the other side of them right as they quickrise. Pretty tricky looking. And if you time it right, EX Turn of Fortune blows through jabs/reversal DP. It seems like they have to block on the other side. Maybe raw launcher crushes EX Turn of Fortune, though.
Corner looks even trickier. s.:hp: xx :d: :p: :p: :p:, :p:, :d: :hk: xx :d: :p: :p: :p:, :p:, :d: :hk: xx :k: :k: :k:, :lk:, lk roll. They’re much more likely to quickrise after the Rain Dance, K.
After you confirm into Turn of Fortune from far s.mp//c.jab, s.jab, c.mk of course. If you hit someone with the “reset” and tag into something (EX Turn of Fortune, far s.mp xx AOP, qcf+hk, tag) it does ~* so much damage *~
Couldn’t you go into the mixup after her breakdance loop since you are doing it from:d: :hk:? If you can, her breakdance loop does more damage than the combo you originally posted, and I should it would work. Also, the reason EX Turn of Fortune goes through wakeup moves and launchers is because it has 1 hit of super armor, so it can absorb one move and go through it. Most wakeup moves minus a few (Chun’s EX SBK for example) do one quick hit, which EX Turn of Fortune would absorb.
The thing I’m confused about is how do you confirm into Turn of Fortune if you do that after the roll? Maybe I’m reading the second part of the combo wrong, but I got confused there. After her Wave Crest, you do st.:mp: and then California Roll to their opposite side, and then go into EX Turn of Fortune?
After seeing some of these vids, I feel as though I’m still not good with Xiao, even though I know most of her combos and tactics. I’m going to be planning another combo video with her, trying to implement some of the new things I’ve seen here.
Very situational, but if you want to combo ahead after breakdance for the kill you can cancel any cr.HK into AOP into pandora into partner super. It should work with most supers if you keep them juggled high enough.
I haven’t got this to work after the sixth hit though. Maybe there’s a juggle limit that can’t be reset? But my execution isn’t at its best right now.
Confirmed cyanide to 5 reps to Juri’s super in the corner. Might edit this post later if I ever nail it after six reps.
EDIT: It should work after 6 reps as well. I was able to tag cancel the sixth hit into more, so I see no reason pandora would be any different.
I usually tag Jin after the 6th rep of breakdance, and do full juggle, and sometimes even switch back to Ling and do another 6 reps. But maybe pandora doesn’t reset the juggle count like tag.
About cr.rh as anti air, I find it easier to do cr.rh AOP, j.rh land breakdance (3 reps). As raw breakdance of anti air might be hard to confirm, or might not be in a good position.
I though I had the breakdance pretty secured after two sessions I did it consistently. But sadly, two days without practice, and in the last two sessions i hardly even pulled 3 reps, and mostly didn’t do even 2 :(. Gotta hit the training mode with dat girl
Sadly, Chun’s SA is pure crap to juggle with as it was in SF4, the chance of getting the big damage takes a while, not to mention her SA takes pretty much all of Pandora’s time as it is -__- But if you need just that much more, I guess it could work, but Pandora is such a risk, I don’t know if I would go for it normally because if for some reason you missed the SA, you are in some big trouble since your opponent just needs to know how to block for only a few more seconds.
Sorry, that second post is worded badly. You can’t confirm into EX Turn of Fortune after the roll; I meant that I confirm into the first Turn of Fortune (kind of obvious, I guess), then Wave Crest, then far st.:mp:, roll to their opposite side, EX Turn of Fortune when they get up.
You’re right, I think it would work out of the breakdance loop in the corner, or after Cyanide.
Can you guys test something for me? I’m traveling for work so I can’t. I mentioned this before but I will bring it up again… I am pretty sure that after Wave Crest, you can chain st.MP into sweep. Can anyone see if it’s possible to do st.MP SCC cr.HK and connect? I couldn’t get it to work but I think I may have been doing the cr.HK too late or not hitting st.MP high enough.
If this works it could allow you to breakdance off a midscreen combo.
