yeah, this was a woman’s computer. in her defense she had a fully updated version of McAfee. McAfee isn’t all that great imo, but at least she attempted “safe surfing” also, i’ve been fixing people’s computers since i was a little kid. worst viruses i’ve ever seen ever. i’m not lying about those startup items- AT LEAST 5000 copies of that garbage text. took me 3 days to get rid of all that shit- and it’s still kinda messed up (i got it updated all the way up to service pack 3 but that won’t install). apparently she gave it to 3 other local businesses to try to get it fixed and they couldn’t do it. feels good knowing i did it- also feels bad that i can’t get a job at a local computer shop.

yeah, lemme just pull out my Dell recovery disk for MCE. oh wait, i don’t have one . oops! she threw her’s away because it’s “worthless” if the OS is already on the computer oh, and SOMEBODY deleted the recovery partition. that kind of stupidity can only come from a computer tech. i got the viruses off of it though, so i’m claiming victory.

That’s just how my co-workers’ and my uncle’s (4 female cousins using the same pc) pc are: women just let what-the-fuck-ever install itself on there without a care in the world (“Jess keep clickin’ “yes”, you don’ gotta read all dat”), and can’t understand why the pc is all munged up and slower than a constipated sloth crossing a room of fly paper.
