Not sure if anyone here heard about it, but Limewire got shut down.

Yeahhh what a bum.
lol who uses limewire anymore… people use torrents and file hosting websites…
Last time I heard about limewire, it was Bush’s first term in office lol… why we re-elected him I don’t even know…
EDIT: Why did people think a p2p file sharing service was a good idea to use in the first place?
Who do you think will be next? They’ve already started shutting down torrent sites. Yea limewire sucked though.
The only people that are mad are people who still think it’s 2002!
I was wondering when they’d finally put that old hound to sleep.
is ja rule still whats hot in the streets?
oh man i love my 5 gb ipod…it holds sooo much music, i dunno if i can ever fill it up.
More will show up… what are these corporations supposed to do? Wish torrenting, filesharing, and filehosting websites never existed…
Sorry but they don’t have the power of denial like Orihime from Bleach… once one giant gets taken down another emerges…
I doubt that anything drastic will happen such as these type of websites being explicitly illegal…
Hopefully not. But yea, something new pops up quick (or in this case, something new popped up almost decade ago). At least we know they are behind the times.
i’ve used google search adding in "mediafire"
usually works pretty well
14 year olds all over are really fuckin bummed out right now
If torrents become unusable, new things will take it’s place.
I’m thinking something like OneSwarm. Shame that doesn’t seem to have taken off really.
Or something like those japanese supposedly somewhat anonymous p2p things. Winny, Perfect Dark and all those.
i was bummed out when napster was shut down.
damnz, now where will i go to download viruses?
File sharing will always exist, one way or another, but mass sharing days are numbered?albeit slowly. Surprisingly enough, it’s the film and television industry who is in hot pursuit of “ending” it, and has put in the most damage.
They can take whatever the fuck they want. Just leave my megaupload and mediashare alone and I’ll be alright. on!
^^
This!
I heard about this the last couple of weeks, but haven’t used Limewire at all since 2005, when I started to notice all the spyware it had.
filestube.com is good for some things and I’m sure with some tweaking it could be a powerful tool.
rofl. Very,very true.
limewire… lol
Great, it only took 10 years. I wasn’t even aware Limewire was still running until I read that it had been shut down.
