I only used limewire cause there arent any limewire viruses for macs, and ive been using limewire since 08
all you need is youtube -> mpe or some shit like that…
Probably the best response to this situation, haha.
I’m surprised it was still even still online up to this point and more surprised that people still used it.
The question is how will I make an extra $300 a week fixing peoples PCs after their kids go and re-install Limewire?
I also want to know who still used Limewire to this day.
Man I still remember the days of using Kazaa and iMesh, and where you would download an entire movie and it would be porno instead.:bluu: I hated that!
LOL. I downloaded what i thought was Starship Troopers 2, only to be greeted with footage of a huskie dog fucking a human female up the ass.
Limewire. good riddance.
^^^ i would have preferred watching the beastiality over ST2
That happened to me too. I started to preview them after that. Also one time I DL Rush Hour 3?? The movie starts, then after 15 minutes Jacki Chan pops up and says Piracy is illegal and then a 15 minute interview loops for 2 hours.
The one time I used limewire to download a movie was when I downloaded from dusk til dawn and after it was done downloading, it was from dusk til dawn part 2. That shit put me in rageface and I wiped it out of my PC.
I don’t really care that L.Wire shut down, but I’m curious now:
I only use P2P for individual music tracks (when I don’t want to DL an entire album). Is there a better service for that (aside from youtube)?
I used limewire for individual songs becauseI don’t usuallyd download full albums. I’ll miss it.
They’re the same thing.
Ya, 2002 tech. lol what a waste of money for whoever campaigned to put it out of is misery. That thing was only useful in 2002 and even then it mostly served to infect your pc with trojans and viruses.
I akin this to to terrorists investing their time to aquire radar towers to spot our 1970’s era jets and bombers, oh wait…
If you’re a young teen looking to download music and porn at your local library, you’re pretty much screwed. I think I’ll go to my old branch and laugh at some soon to be butthurt teens that are dumb enough to go to the front circulation desk and ask a librarian why their program they use for “school projects” doesn’t work anymore.
Why not 1) get a torrent client, 2) torrent an album, 3) go to the client options and choose to dl the one song you want instead of the whole album?
Or get one of those Firefox/Chrome extensions that let you download Youtube videos as an mp3 file.
Or just google that shit with the name of the song followed by “.mp3”. You’re sure to find a blog direct download, or a mediafire or sendspace link to whatever song. People are WAY behind the times…some of my co-workers who have computers at home (the older co-workers don’t, and seem afraid of them) are still messing around with bearshare and other p2p bullshit their girlfriends installed (and we all know women can find stupid ways to mess things up)…and their computers are all slow and crap, and they can’t figure out why. I tell them about google, even give them in-home demos when I come over, and they sound all amazed…but they never try it. They’d rather do some shit where you can get virii, or in trouble.
How are people going to find Nickelback MP3’s now?
Are they going to wait for the obvious new P2P client, Shitwirester to be created?
Demonoid exists.
GG Limewire.
You can also hit up Youtube for some of those songs and use an MP3 converter.
Or just use Aimp2’s sound recorder (stereo mix) for more control over the final file’s fidelity. There’s plenty of options…but most people keep fooling around with the riskiest one: p2p.
