I’m not sure how you figure that out. The THC start-up that is. Like does it matter will startup remain the same if Felicia is point or backup during the THC?
Wall cling is nice, but yeah I don’t use it often. Doing the delta kicks might confuse the opponent a little, if they don’t recognize the height differences between the all 3 Delta Kicks. I say that because you can stunt your movement with Light Delta Kick or fly by with Heavy.
Because I was doing more testing with mashed THC instead of DP and a lot of the times it beat out the reset. Cat Spike L puts you on +4, Crouch L starts up in 5 frames so there is a 1 frame window to punish unless it has invincibility on start up? Maybe my timing wasn’t consistent? I don’t know, in any case this is a pretty cool set up and I doubt people will be looking for the reset point to punish with something.
All I ever do is call assist, H delta kick if they block the cross up dash low light if they block that hell cat. It works sometimes lol (and other times Felicia dies in one combo Facepalm)
Edit: I guess with that set up you could go for a mid screen unblockable with Kitty helper using Ammy assist.
lol, yeah Felicia gets bodied by 1 hit touch. Shoot, my whole team gets bodied by 1 touch into a good combo. I call assist alot also. I’ve come to the conclusion that Felicia is supposed to be played with assists. I know the whole cast can be played like that, but I figure Felicia needs it more than a good chunk of them. Even Kitty Helper is an assist of sorts that helps her open you up.
I could try that midscreen set-up, but I’d have to have Kitty Helper out and enough Kitty meter left over to set it up. I can do it easily in the corner though. I just have to figure out proper set-ups that avoid pushblock.
Felicia-Ammy THC is decent, since it covers the air, but it’s hard to confirm a launch off of the last hit of Ammy hyper that strikes you down.
One last thing: After Felicia Level 3 hyper. I think you can do a meaty Heavy Sandsplash just guessing. I’m gonna test that out to see if I can confirm off of it.
Yeah, she can gets zoned out pretty hard when shes alone.
I figured out on a mid screen opponent if you start kitty helper then jump call Ammy and do H delta kick then do L cat spike it sets up a perfect unblockable.
You can’t get H sand splash or M sand splash after Lvl 3 since the start up is to long but maybe you could get a stylish meaty Sand Splash combo off of a HKD assist like Spencer’s grapple then plink dash to S for a relaunch?
Sorry, guess I left out a detail. I meant doing a Heavy Sandsplash as a new combo starter after the level 3. If they wake up in place or roll back, it should hit them or make them block. I’m not sure what will happen if they roll forward, like if they roll to the other side of felicia.
while testing stuff, I think I found a nice little trap with felicia and an assist may have situations it might not work, like 1frame invincible attacks.
firstly… the heavy sandsplash after Level 3 hyper can be used as a combo starter, but it is completely avoided if they forward roll, even with assist backup assist will be in danger.
new thing is against a cornered opponent. felicia can be next to the opponent but it depends on your method of dashing back. If you dash with LH or MH and your button presses are perfect and not coming out as L then H, then this will be simple. Otherwise, step back a bit from the opponent.
Okay, so Felicia dashes back while calling assist all assists may not work or you have to change timing of when you call assist and immediately does Heavy Delta Kick. If the opponent pushblocks the last hit of delta kick, Felicia can perform a Heavy Hell Cat. If you miss or if the opponent can jump, the Assist you called should keep them grounded or give you an attempt to do something else as they block.
If they don’t pushblock, Felicia will not connect with Hell Cat. The assist will just keep the opponent in a continued blockstring of sorts.
Lastly, without dashing call assist and immediately Heavy Delta Kick at point blank range, has a tighter window for grabbing with Hell Cat. Opponent must be pushblocking as usual for it to work. Otherwise, it’ll just be a blockstring.
edit: tested the Hell Cat setup a bit further. It gets beat by quick invincible startup on hypers Should have known. The timing can be screwed if the opponent uses X-Factor. When the opponent pushblocks or with which character the opponent uses to pushblock may alter the timing of the set-up also. For example, I figured this out versus Doom with pushblock enabled. Using the exact same setup on Morrigan, the setup did not work, unless I started a step away from morrigan.
sup guys,
i got a set recorded of me against one of the best of the Netherlands for anyone who cares.
my feli wasnt on point that day but i still showed some things…
Thanks dude! Kitty helper combos haven’t been explored enough and I just know there has to be something broken about it but I don’t know what. We need kitty loops damn it XD
Good shit @tnartey keeping for the dream alive with the videos you’ve been putting up!
I don’t normally like to combo directly into Kitty Helper, due to the high meter cost, but the combos are definitely stylish. After playing around with it tonight, I was able to get a little more damage out of that variant (grounded assist extention) of the combo:
I’m thinking about starting another thread for Kitty Helper strategy/discussion. I still feel like there is a lot that hasn’t been really explored yet.
It would be nice to get another thread for that, because there is still a tone to be explored I’m current trying to figure out the best possible combo into kitty helper solo so it would work like Ryu’s Denjin mode. So far the most damage I’ve gotten is 714,800 (mashed) so not so great at the moment but this is solo not starting with Alto running around. Maybe with some tweaks the damage could be increased but there were other things I found that included an aerial reset into air grab and using the Felicia/Doom/Vergil combo I came up with (Jump loops onward minus Vergil assist) you could kill solo. if they tech they have a meaty Alto to deal with lol.
