Actually rumor has it that Sega will announce VF5:FS for consoles at E3 next month.
āConsole version rumor that will turn out to be falseā #547
Not getting excited.
Where are these rumors coming from? Iāve been burned too many times in the past
Some members at VFDC know people that work at SOJ and SOE. They got the insider info that Sega has been working on a console release for months now but have not made it public yet. Sega should be breaking the news at E3 that VF5:FS will be a DLC game for PSN and Live due out for the fall.
I can only hope that VF5FS being released for consoles is true. Hope being the keyword
Any interest in this from FGD? There seem to be a lot of people who like VF here and might enjoy an invite or two to some games on XBL.
Iām sick of rumors. Either the game comes out or not. Iām done either way. Sega doesnāt give a rats ass about the American VF ācommunityā so Iām passing.
It sounds believable except for the XBLA/PSN bit. The game would be too big for an arcade game (if Iām wrong in this please correct me), and I donāt think it would even work as DLC/Expansion for the Vanilla VF5 either.
There have been rumours about it being in development for a while now, I even remember one that stated it was due for a release in March this year. I think itās believable that they are working on it and were waiting to get MK9/MVC3/SSFIVAE out of the way before announcing a release since those three games would trounce it in sales.
Vanilla VF5 is already a DLC game on XBL Games on Demand
Been down this road before but⦠crosses fingers
Games on Demand is different to XBLA/PSN games though right? I think there is a limit on XBLA games being 2GB for technical reasons, which would be too small for something like VF5 FS right? I might be wrong here, but I just get the feeling it would be a full retail release rather than downloadable.
No way in hell VF5:FS is going to be a DLC game since thereās probably like 5 people who still own a copy of the game for there to actually be DLC, plus thereās a 2GB limit on XBL. Plus why would Sega after working on VF for so damn long skip out on releasing a full retail game?
Regardless of the rumor, if Sega doesnāt announce something at E3, Iām done.
The Games on Demand service is different from XBL where a full retail game can be bought, downloaded, and played from the hard drive. If VF5:FS is just a digital release, it would fall under the 2GB restriction on XBL which would be too small for the game. If something like that was doable on the X360, it would have been done at least for AH3 instead of just being a digital release for the PS3 in North America. Plus there has been a ton of changes to the game since the original release of the game which is why that DLC rumor is bs.
Are games still restricted under 2 GB? I thought that was removed for XBL games.
And just because it is DLC doesnāt mean that you need to own the original. It just means a game you can download which means you get FS through PSN or XBLA.
And I donāt believe that we know the specific reason why AH3 wasnāt available for 360 in the US. Something about it already being released in disc form in Japan or something so they couldnāt do. Correct me if I am wrong.
Wait, how much VF have you played even? This thread has gotten away from its original intent.
I feel the same way, but Iāve played on and off since 03.
Its is funny how all these guys want Final Showdown but you never see them on VF5 online or VFDC. Well hope to see you guys online.
Hey Sega, less Derp and more Herp.
This is going to come off totally wrong but I just canāt play VF knowing that there is a better version out there. This isnāt something like AE where you know a console port is coming. If FS gets announced at E3, then yes, I will be on VFDC, online and throw VF gatherings.
Your right. That did come out wrong. Just trying to call people out. If and when it does get announced I donāt wonāt people to get left behind and practice on one of the best fighter(even being 5 years old) out right now.
If anyone want to play online just message me. I have no problem showing you the ropes/beasting you.
I hope the rumor is true. I used to play go to locals for VF5 every Sunday a few years back. Playing against not only people who knew how to play and showed me the ropes was pretty fun. My Vanessa leveled up alot.
I meant more or less on my end haha. I think it is great that there is still a VF scene. From time to time, I like to hop in and play the game but I just get⦠frustrated. I want FS damn it!
