Its not that hard to learn. I know VF has this dark cloud over it’s head as soon as everyone pic Akira(thinking he’s the Ryu of the game) can’t do any of his moves at first then think he top tier. Just learn the paper, rock, scissors (attack beats throw, throw beats block and sidestep, and block and sidestep beats attack) and you will learn 70% of the game. This game is more about the read then the character you pick.
Except when you run into aliens like Shun, Lei Fei, and Lion, who short circuit the RPS game by design. In fact so many characters have tools to beat the basic 2-choice/RPS game (including option select defense) that high level play revolves around that. No argument here from the game requiring good reads, but even at low level you can get destroyed not knowing your matchups.

Because we got passed over it. We didn’t even get to experience the expansion on our familiar VF, and now we’re supposed to expect for a new title that changes throws, etc?
Of course this is fruitless anyway as I doubt we’ll ever get either. Sega is intent on keeping their retarded cabinet situation and they certainly can’t have a home port because they want the money to solely flow through the arcades (tying into them making money off the licensed cabinets). This is just horrible. I highly doubt we’ll get anything until VF6, if that.
I’d rather start adopting the new system now. The changes are actually reasonable and they differentiate the game a lot more from VF4. I’m really tired of MTEs. The fuzzy guard nerf is welcome as well.
I’d also prefer confirmation that we’re not getting VF5FS than no word from Sega at all, tbqh.
Well, I actually kinda want the game to be more like VF4. 
But seriously I am not so much opposed to change, as I am opposed to us not getting to play the expansion building on what we had before getting the one with the more significant changes.
Sega will screw us over this year with the new handhelds, marvel liscenses, some sonic and friends game, and the list goes on can’t give us a home release or even release the machine over here. If they did it they should release costume pacs every 3 to 6 months.
VF5FS is cool & all, but the franchise needs an overhaul or give Virtua Fighter a rest for a while. we need a Fighting Vipers reboot. :nunchuck: … or better yet, Eternal Champions.

Oh, by the way. I made a gamertag for VF people on Xbox Live. It’s called “VFDC Friends”. Add the tag and check its friends list to see if VF people are playing VF.
I like Fighting Vipers as well, but it would be nice to get something that is allready made and all it needs is a home conversion. We never got the 2nd fighting vipers I would be happy if we got that remade and got it online.
Fighting Vipers 2 actually did get a home console port on Dreamcast in Japan, but yeah, it would be nice to see it again in this age of reboots/sequels. In fact, I talked about this somewhere else a while back, so I’ll just copy/paste it here because I’m lazy…
I would gladly welcome an FV3. Actually, I’ve always juggled the idea in my head that if VF ever needed a “hip/cool/popular” facelift-type of deal, Fighting Vipers would be the answer. It has the same controls, many of the characters play like the VF cast and the mechanics could be a re-worked to fit the best of both games equally: the technique and balance of VF with the “umph” and style of FV. It pretty much be remaking/rebooting both franchises at once. VF/FV = It makes perfect sense!
Of course, VF and FV still being their own games would be nice too though.

Man I can’t wait to check out FS. Still can’t decide whether I should check out Vanilla VF5 or just wait.
If Sega needs to give VF a break, these are one of 3 games or series I would like to have a new sequel:
Fighting Vipers
Eternal Champions
Sonic the Fighters
Sonic the Fighters had some decent ideas, I wouldn’t mind see a sequel made.
Aww, man I missed playing Fighting Vipers and Last Bronx. They need to bring back Last Bronx, like for a sequel or something!
Shoot, it’ll be like this: Last Bronx for XBLA and PSN or Last Bronx 2 for 360/PS3. Best game I ever played…
