This thread is for people who are SRK fans that also want to learn how to play or do play Virtua Fighter 5. This is not an opinion thread. Mods hate me all you want but my previous thread was merged with a thread whose first post was “What do you think about Virtua Fighter 5?” Don’t care what you think. Do you want to play? Please don’t clutter the thread with all your complaints about SEGAS policies. I’m keen on playing the game and want to find others that are too but got tired of looking.
Those who want to give your opinion on it can troll in the other thread. If you do want to play lets do it!
I’ve been around the world and some of the most impressive play I’ve seen in any game was watching Yosuke playing VF. It’s a great game, even if it is too technical for many.
Like ever good american I want more. Hope to see you Saturday at fight club. How can they know how great it is unless we play. They need to see some high level play. Most of the time its just me teaching a guy that curious.
I know how it is; it was the same with a new player we had gotten back in 2008 with the small “scene” in Dalton, GA. He picked up Kage, and I had to admit I didn’t like playing him because he was still learning…but he was dedicated on it. So, if they stick with it, I will. It broke my heart though when he had to live to go on active duty for the Marines - he was shaping up to be good.
Yeah, I think VF is at its best when people that know what’s going on are playing - just like most fighting games.
^ Thanks for that. I just checked your location in regards to mine through mapquest - roughly 40 minute drive. Much better than I thought it would be (somehow was thinking the drive would be an hour or two like when the family heads up to the Fort Worth military instillation).
I can’t make it this week and I’m not sure when, I’m really having trouble with restarting my plans for college and saving but its nice to know its pretty much a straight drive through the TX-183 interstate.

They can still play, their just to busy dreaming of VF5R or VF5FS to play VF5 anymore. Me, I play great games.
VF5 imo is still a great game. I think the SoCal group still gets together on the reg.
That is I sir, hahaha sure you did. I got a little disheartened when Hakan proved to be more work than I was willing to put in. I still play Dan once in a while but I haven’t put any real time into learning SFIV’s system. Sadly in SFIV I only get into characters that seem to suck

I plan to be there, even though I’ve just recently decided to get back into fighting games, having just played SSF4 for the first time ever, getting my ass beat online by randoms. And I haven’t played VF5 in more than half a year, so I’ll be there, but shaking off rust.
