I realized I promised the woman I’d go to a concert put on by her students and the rest of the school she teaches at. Dont think anyone missed me anyway heheh
I probably am not considered a reg by some but I go pretty much every thursday and sometimes more often.
I still can’t match some names to faces. I think I might have seen preppy or mandel. I just didn’t want to be like “hey are you some guy on a forum?” and have them look at me like lobsters were coming out of my ears.
Were either of you there last night?
Also, I didn’t think mandel played 3s?
Oh and I could have swore some drunk guys called mechanica “count chockula” or some shit like that.

If my assumptions were correct, both of them were there last night. Preppy was wearing a blue soccer jersey, and Mandel was wearing a striped white shirt.
I kinda like the new location of the machines, it allows for us to witness more people falling down the stairs. 
EDIT: also: “MAN YOU IN COLLEGE NOW BOY, YOU AIN’T GO NO MONEY!” 
Oh, and I was the guy with kinda long hair wearing a red/white/blue wristband. It brings me good luck. (but all the luck in the world wouldn’t have saved me

Yeah I play 3S, mainly Dudley I/III. As Zero said, I ALWAYS wear a hat. I can’t leave home without it!
Yeah, Thursday are my soccer night, so I’ll usually be wearing soccer gear. I changed to pants last night because it was cold. Usually I’ll be wearing soccer shorts too. =\ (We won 3-2.)
I do play a little Third Strike, but I’m not going to bother people with my Third Strike play unless there’s nobody else in line - I’m too scrubby to make it be too interesting. I play games for fun, and there is to me no way to make Third Strike fun: I don’t find defensively oriented games that interesting. shrug Pinball, air hockey, Marvel, the nonsense that is Samurai Showdown - I’ll play those.
And I love NBA Jams, but that NBA on NBC ShowTime game is kinda garbage. I didn’t really see any Blitz games… just some Madden? Madden is overkill. Give me garbage fun games likes Tecmo Bowl, Blitz, RBI Baseball, NBA Jams - I’m there to have fun, not to pretend I’m a random head coach that needs to think about game strategies.

Well I for one am going to keep my hopes up. Unfortunately I don’t play anything other then 3s. It’s kind of funny, I’m not even a fighting game enthusiast really. I just picked up 3s one day and haven’t put it down since.
If we get something like alpha 3 or super turbo I am totally going to learn though. At least there’s no goddamn oro in ST.

Finally, don’t let me hear that you don’t have money. I always buy a time card and one is really all you need for everyone. Technically we’re not supposed to share them though. If the staff starts hassling us then I’ll just use a point card until I tap out. Also, I usually leave at about 10:30 to 11:30, but I usually give my time card to jason. (I don’t have money to blow out my ass or anything, I just want to get as many people playing as possible)

Yeah - limited guessing and timing games without much respite. It’s fascinatingly technical - I watched it all at SBO with a lot of interest - but … I’m just not interested in playing footsie-based games. Or if it’s not footsies, boring-to-me stuff like fireball keep-away (in ST and etc) that you can’t just super-jump over. I realize I play fireball keep-away Mina in Samurai Showdown, but I know for a fact that none of us play that game seriously.
I would play Third Strike casually, but when I watch people move slightly back and forth for five seconds to feint out moves, I really truly want to claw my eyes out. I appreciate people that can enjoy that - I can’t.
Hell, that’s even a problem for me in Marvel - I dare to push a button and get beaten up by Mag and Storm’s glitched moves (those attack-hit-boxes are so amazing - they really do give Sagat’s cHP a run for the money). Oh well. After getting beat by the Win Button that is Random Lightning Attack way too often, I’ll stop actually trying to push buttons in Marvel, I guess. Laming people out is the way of the future. :lol:
Defense-based games are quite fun in aggressive play. I’m sure you’ve seen the infamous “Prowl” in old Daigo matches. How is constant dashing in-your-face beatdown gameplay so bad? It’s those Chun-Chun turtle matches that make me want to dunk my head in sulfuric acid :wasted:

I’ve told a couple of ya already, but supposedly they’re gonna get a fighting game that uses the same screen that Virtua Tennis 3 uses(which is very beautiful). The only game that could possibly be on sumthin like that has gotta be VIRTUA FUCKING FIGHTER 5!
But…as I said its all rumors. Seein as it is Matt sayin it tho its gotta be true.
