The SF4 and SSF4 announcers are amongst the most obnoxious and irritating announcers I’ve ever encountered. They boil my piss. All I want an announcer to say is “FIGHT!” and “KO”, not incessant glib remarks that have nothing to do with what’s going on. jabs “WHAT AN ATTACK!”. Ass. Utter ass.
I expect him to mention the power of science.

I really only recall the Alpha 3, MvC2 and CvS2 announcers. Most of Capcom’s announcers do SOMETHING right but fail mostly. Except SF4… hated his echo. MvC2 guy worked because the music was laid back… he was in esscence, jazz. Alpha 3 guy was cool but not seeming to fit in a VS game. CvS2 guy I loved because he had some good line “That’s what I like to call BIG” damage! But that wouldn’t work in MvC3 so much because theres the point char talking, assists talking… too much talking.
I noticed this Isshun(?) too and THOUGHT it was w/ Ammy, but saw a vid where it was just talking… and no Ammy there at all. And then there was one where I coulda SWORN I heard both. I gotta be honest I don’t like Isshun as the only announcer… and I’m easy to please.
Best announcer would be able to be turned off (you guys convinced me) but if left on, either selectable (like DOA4-which I THINK they did do) OR the crisp voice of CvS guy, with the simple combo announcements “cool” 'viewtiful" etc. I would like some cool lines, but there’s already enough talking.
S/N Yipes is great, epic even, but I think Dogface (if he was the one who did announcing at Neo vs Clockw0rk) would RULE. “TRAP those cats!” “BEAM-BEAM-BEAM-BEAM-BEAM” “The EAGLE got him. the EAGLE got him!” "EPIC"x72
again, mvsf clearly had the best announcer capcom has ever used. i don’t see how somebody can prefer the announcers of games like mvc2 or cvs2…def not alpha 3…in comparison to the guy who did mvsf.
he was so animated and excited. he def earned his money IMO.

I’m thinking that the male announcer in this game is the spirit of Marvel, whereas the female one is the spirit of Capcom.
You know what. Even though Dogface is alil too silly at times. It would be an awesome fit. Plus, I would lose it if I heard “OH, SO GODLIKE!!!” during a Hyper Combo Finish. As for the 2 voices. My guess is that the male announcer is prolly US localized and the female is Japanese announcer. with them giving us the choice to switch

Does anybody know if the MVC3 male announcer and SF4 announcer are the same guy? Im imagining the "Violence is a beauuuutiful thing!" line and it totally sounds like the MVC3 announcer. I just cant find any youtube videos where you can clearly hear the vanilla SF4 announcer to do a comparison.
Yipes announcer for DLC. That way, people who don’t want to hear “CURLEH MUSTACHE!” and “FUCK THE KNICKS!” won’t have to.

This. 1000000000000x this. That guy is the greatest announcer to grace a fighting game. The excitement and phrases he used felt like it was Stan Lee talking the action. I miss him
