If anyone is still using dante in their team with jam session you should do jam session ~> dirtnap set up. The timing is real strict if you do too many hits, but you can TOD with 4 meters.
Pretty much you can otg~> jam session assist ~> dirtnap (this has to be immediate) ~> heavy cs ~> heavy talon ~> special to activate dirtnap ~> ankle slice ~> rage trigger.
Again timing is REALLY strict if you do too many hits, but if you strictly build meter on the first character with x-23 she can TOD most characters without x-factor using this combo ender.
I figured out ToDs for her in all three lvls of x-factor too, hit confirming into each one. I’m still working on them because my xf1 ToD needs two assists to kill chars with 1m+ hp and I don’t like that haha. one thing I noticed is that in xf1, she can link a s.M after an OTG now and I don’t think she could do that before. works up until about ~13 hits or so.
just notating off the top of my head … these combos all build a lot of meter too.

Since I’ve been reassured this game’s online’s slightly better than MVC3’s, I might just get it after all.
And as for this whole hiding info business, I wouldn’t rely on hiding info for the sake of hoping my opponents stay ignorant about the X-23 MU. Sooner or later, it all comes out anyway. You may have had some bad habits formed and may have been getting away with things due to people’s lack of knowledge and once people catch on, it’ll expose you harder. But whatever floats your boat.

I was going to make a vid of this stuff last night but got too lazy to move my xbox and hook it up to my recording setup. I’ll try and get all this stuff down soon, give ppl some ideas. I think the cancelable dp opens up more options I haven’t figured out yet, the more minds working on it the better. although even just the rudimentary stuff is great. seriously 800k for 1 bar using just Wesker assist? and then you DHC to Wesker so he comes in with his glasses already off? fucking boss!
x-23/wesker/strider is probably going to be a really powerful team. Strider’s Varja assist is insanely good.
I thought the CS to TA stuff was good.
Yet now we know that her L mirage feint and M mirage feint are cancellable during their airborne frames into L,M or H talon attack. M mirage feint combined with the L talon attack basically gives her self safe 50/50 mix up without an assist. Especially since her M mirage feint starts up on frame 3 that basically gives her a harder to react to berserker slash with a smaller hit box. That is crazy. No more having to use doom beam for M feint mix ups all the time. Plus since it’s L talon attack coming out of the M mirage feint that means she gets like a + 10 frame advantage if it’s somehow blocked instead of a negative 10-13 like wolvie b slash. Even if Wolvie is in berserker charge/retard rage mode his slashes are only negative 5 - 7 at safest.
The only issue to this is that it requires some execution seeing you must cance into L talon attack during the airborne frames. Which means if you’re close to the opponent you have to do a qcb+L motion to cross them up but if you’re farther away you should do qcf+L motion and it will then auto correct if you go behind.
Holy shit still balling over about this one**. It wasn’t even mentioned in her list of buffs of the Ultimate strategy guide or anything. One of those super secret buffs.**
I’m still a little skeptical of how useful dive kick out of feints will be. it will certainly help her pressure game by making it easier to get in there with big frame advantage after getting pushblocked, but as a solo mixup? I think the dive kick is a little too slow for anyone to actually get hit by it. it will certainly make her mixup using assists just that much stronger, though.
I was thinking something like s.H xx M feint xx M talon attack, then do Ms as the talon attack ends. beats pushblock and is a multiple overhead mixup but if you do it midscreen you go shooting over their head
I’m not on the same level of execution or general play as a lot of you guys, but I can’t figure out how to make Talon Attack out of Mirage Feint M practical. The window of airborne frames is very short, and she moves so fast that it’s difficult to get the direction input in while she’s still on one side. Autocorrect is not nearly as lenient in MVC3 as it is in SF4. The timing is subtly different based on her distance from the opponent when the Mirage Feint is input, and in the event that you’re pushblocked you get either a whiffed TA or nothing, whereas if you go with her traditional MF + assist, when you’re pushblocked out the assist keeps them locked down. I tried playing around with left/right qcf inputs at various distances, and nothing seemed particularly reliable. Things get weird when you take into account the corner, as well. If this is a legitimate tactic, I’d love to see someone post a tutorial video explaining the ranges, inputs for those ranges, etc to make it reliable.
On the other hand, I think cancels out of MF L have a lot of potential, since you don’t have the ambiguous directional input issue. Blocked normal into MF L into TA M could have a lot of uses, as it seemed to be reliably much lower in the air than a TK’d TA M. Similar to what Temps describes, it should beat pushblock and give you an overhead/double overhead/low mixup coming out of it. I haven’t had much time to play with these things in the lab yet, though.
Well I’ll definitely be doing some testing and make videos so we’ll see. Against characters that are lame and airborne all the time like Spider Man or Firebrand…you’ll almost never get to use this. Against more ground based characters like Iron Fist, I can see getting it in though.
Meep mentioned to me that apparently the guide mentions that she can cancel all of her special moves into talon attacks now so I’ll mess with it all and see.
Has anyone started implementing CS into their Mirage Feint loops yet? I’ve got a pretty good loop in the corner but I don’t quite have one for mid-screen.
I’ve just been sticking to the normal j.M j.H xx qcf+L loop, no embellishments. I just add a DP at the top before the last qcf+L… that’s about it

Quick question: Since drones are faster, is it now possible to do insert combo, call drones, ankle slicer, WXP?
Are drones actually faster? I thought they said they made them faster so that the 2nd/3rd drones were a true blockstring but I can still cross people up between them.
The assist has a faster start-up I believe.

What are your inputs during the M Feint Talon Cancel? I found that I have to execute mine as if I was still on the other side so 214 M => 236 L then shit happens.

I never really learned that stuff and now that it’s a new game which I like more, I went to start learning some stuff. So before I go digging through the forums to find out how to MFC I just wanted to find out if it still works the same way.
