random x23 combo
inb4dhctrick
Interesting, I didn’t know it slowed down enough to hard tag back into Laura and keep the combo going.
Flashy way to follow up the Ammy slow.
Can anyone reliably get x-23 loops online?
Nope.
Trying to play X-23 online is a complete joke. All I can do with the damn lag are simple 123 relaunch combos.
There’s another fun trick you can do with X-23/Ammy if your opponent is in the corner. Now that I have some free time I’ll probably record some of my team combos to show off a bit.
How do you combo off of qcf+L in the air? And what other air attacks can you combo off of air to air?
I was going to make a video to touch on that eventually but basically in order to combo off qcf+L in the air you need to set it up with some hard normals. For whatever reason using hard normals in the air like her j.H and talon dive (d+H) make the air qcf+L hit in a way so that it’s easier to juggle when you land. You’ll notice that if you just hit them with a raw L talon attack that sometimes they’ll fall to the ground too fast for you to juggle.
Basic air to airs into it are like j.M, j.d+H, j.qcf+L, land, s.M whatever.
j.L, j.M, j.H, j.qcf+L blah blah
j.M, j.H, j.d+H, j.qdf+L whatever you wanna do etc.
if you wanna option select air throw j.f+H, j.d+H, j.qcf+L to blah blah
you can even OS with talon dive like wolverine and do j.df+H (OS’s forward throw or talon dive) j.qcf+L to whatever
finally got around to mastering X-23’s loop… cant get more than 2 reps tho
i’m using Skrull on point to set up unblockables with Ankle Slicer assist… then using Skrulls Tenderizer to suppliment mixups and OTGs … got Morrigan as my anchor… she’s freaking perfect for the anchor position
I’m working on comboing into dirt nap from the loop by doing: full charge neck slice> L>M>H>loopx2>S>j.M>j.M>j.H>talon dive> call in Skrull> full charge ankle slicer> XF!> dirt nap> s.H>dirt nap… then if i need it the OTG followup … kills characters with Captain America or Taskmaster health no problem
What would be the best combo for Dirt Nap -> otg ankle slice -> xfactor ->??? (something for each level?)
I use this derpy combo my brother found for post dirt nap XF combos. Basically if they’re in the corner or close to it you can just activate do s.M, S launch, then immediately as you jump up with them (before they even start to move off screen and up in the air) do a L talon attack (air qcf+L), then do charged ankle slice again, into the same thing about one or 2 more times and end it with super.
That’s been what I’ve been doing, but it doesn’t work with xf lv 1
imo if you want to air to air with X-23 the only button you can use to start the combo is j.H. j.M has a really, really bad hitbox… I’ve been fucked over so bad so many times for trying to a2a with that move. j.H at least option selects itself for you. its too bad X-23 can’t combo from her back throw, which would let you OS block/j.H into combo, but that still has its place. j.H, j.d+H xx 236L is my go-to air to air combo. use the d+H to set your height properly so that you land with plenty of time to follow up the 236L. j.S kinda works too, but doing j.H j.S tends to push the other guy too low to get a combo. if you are a little higher up j.H j.S works great, though.
Yeah that makes sense. The j.H hit box seems to do a bit better with things above you than j.M since most of her air normals tend to hit horizontal with a slight diagonal angle towards the ground. Which means Sentinel turtling towards the top of the screen with fly you pretty much have no real anti air for other than jump air throw after he gets up to a certain height.
The only thing I’ve personally found j.S useful for is that like Wolverine’s or Felicia’s j.S (or most j.S moves in the game for that matter) it blows up pretty much all standing or crouching normals on the ground. Making it useful after a jump in or wall jump to blow up standing/crouching normals more safely than risking a dive whiff.
I play this same team as a back up to my main team
X-23 - Morrigan - Skrull
But if you order the team the way I did above, I think youll be MUCH better off.
Than you can one touch kill people off of the very first move of the game. If you do the full double loop, into a full air combo, you can use any of skrulls assists to hold them in place for Weapon x Prime, which DHC glitches into morrigans Darkness Illusion mirror super. And a full combo with her should kill the person after that, and even if it doesnt kill, you can TAC back into X 23 and end the combo with Ankle Slice OTG to rage trigger, and when she does the first hit of the last somersault she does, you can DHC that into missiles with morrigan.
wow… wtf, why dont I practice this team more?
only thing is that skrulls assists are sometimes kinda goofy for the otg into WXP
orbital grudge to WXP works everywhere.
ankle slice only picks people up into tenderizer in the corner.
and that charge fist move he has wont otg because its too slow, but when you otg into it, its hard to do the WXP in the corner because they fall right on top of you and you dont know which way to input the DP motion for the super.
but since theyll usually die by morrigan, since shes in double mode, you can use the double to pull some nice mixups with the 2nd character and catch them into something too. which you can then TAC into x 23 either up or down and than Down H into the DHC trick again.
if morrigan had an assist that had the properties to let X 23 combo into WXP on her own, those two would be like, a top tier team. but almost every assist in the game can do that, so its not a big deal.
Id suggest leaving morrigan in after you DHC trick to her, until she dies, because then that opens up level 2 x factor combos with X 23, which destroys teams. and than you can just put skrull on clean up duty.
hm… i like that DHC trick and all but i have a horrible time getting a combo to come out after i bring in the mirror… the timing is really harsh … did you know that after a XX>Launcher>XX>missiles combo with morrigan you can still do a TAC?.. i just figured that out
the only reason i like to keep Morrigan as my anchor is cause the Mirror shenanigans are really good to sew up a match with X factor … but i’ll definitely consider your input … no doubt skrull can do some good clean up
and yeah getting the timing for OTG assist from skrull is HARD! … the tenderizer causes massive hitstun scale, only works in the corner and will drop em if you arent fast enough… orbital gruded is good but short and so much more strict… stone smite is good too but the wall bounce it causes doesnt exactly help X-23
practice my good man, I had trouble working with post-glitch morrigan combo as well. but one thing that helped me, was that since the hitstun is completely reset when morrigan comes in, you have complete freedom for the timing on her standing H, which means 2 things.
- A completely fresh mirrored standing H does as much damage as a second super at the end of a long combo would have anyway. So even if you just hit that, its worth it.
- When you hit somebody that is in their free fall with morrigans standing H, they are in hitstun until they hit the ground, Which makes the rest of the combo really easy to time. What I do is DHC to mirror. H while theyre falling, down H, right before they hit the ground, into forward H and than I can go into my normal BnB as if it was a regular combo.
As for skrull, I like putting him on orbital grudge for 2 reasons. 1. its the easiest to do the DHC trick with, and I dont have to worry about whether Im in the corner or not. the spacing and timing is always the same. and 2. It has armor, so it actually functions decently as a gtfo move if for some reason youre getting put on the defensive with x 23.
Also, the missile to TAC only works in the corner for morrigan. however, if you DHC into missiles on the ground in the corner, you can walk forward and combo into launcher right after too.
Hey i was using x-23 the other day with dorm and i thought of a gimmick/team that i want ur opinion
its to use silent kill with dorms chasing ball as the lockdown/setup i was bored so i played arcade mode and i was trying out dorm and x-23 when i did this and it i was amazed at how well it worked
my team for this is dorm x-23 and dante (jam session)
that sounds amazingly unfair and awesome actually. lol.
all the high profile Laura mains out here already say that Dante is her best compliment anyway. so that seems like a solid team. that setup is basically a phoenix killer if you hit with it. however you would need a full 5 bars if you intend to do that out of a snap back. the best part is that if you hit the silent kill in the middle of them blocking the ball, the ball should stay there and continue to hit them even after the super, and you might be able to super jump after them and continue a combo off of it.
