Yeah the game hitched in grand finals at a tourney here in ATL last week, everyone was mad. Player even dropped his combo because of it, sucks.
I heard people say slowdown issues are less likely if you play on the danger room stage. Not that it guarantees 100 percent no issues but I’m sure its better than playing on those stages with like a million and 8 things going on. Not surprising being a sequel to Mahvel I guess.
Speaking of MVC2, wasn’t there a stage that had some issues in that game? I know certain people were talking about that. Anyway, looks like it’s the Danger Room all the way then lol.
is anybody in here using DHC trick? cause ive been in training mode and found a decent one with her and task:
x on point
c.L (+assist),c.L, c.M xx neck slice full charge xx weapon x prime (455k at this point, EXTREMELY easy to do) xx task counter super.
my combo skills arent there yet to make this really high damaging as the followup from task is kind of difficult but it goes c.L,c.M,c.H,F+H etc… doing only that got me 755 k…
if i can ever get a full combo consistently iexpect it to get close to a million with no super tacked on… meaning that x with task could kill off of one touch for 2 meters… pretty strong especially if done off of a reset/mixup which is where i would probably use this since i would be using task to get in.
-dime
My brother plays X23/Taskmaster/Iron Man and can do like 1.3 million damage with X23 to Tasky.
There’s some footage of me doing some DHC reset stuff in the video thread. I drop it a few times because I forgot you have to hit with Wesker’s s.H twice to combo into ghost butterfly but I can usually get about 1.1mil if I dont drop the combo.
is the 1.3 million including XFC or just clean last hit WXP dhc into counter super then juggle with c.l?
The X-23 Ammy DHC setup that ETR and I use is a character kill on anybody, no X-factor.
Cleaning up the thread today, all the combos should be updated in the first page in the next few hours.
Much appreciated, Eternal Blaze
k, added every combo posted in the thread. any input on missing or wrong stuff in there is appreciated.
its still not 100% as there’s still stuff thats a link with no notation or weird notations etc, i’ll finish that up tonight.
I made a format that is hopefully clear and accessible to everybody, especially someone coming from another character coz i fuckin HATE when i try to pick up a new character and go to their info/combo threads and find nothing but a big mess and old outdated crap.
Added every stat i can think of; Combo damage, meter building/cost, requirements like assists or Corner, video if available etc
and I Credited whoever made the combo, im not 100% sure about this coz say if person A made the video with the combo but person B notated it i might’ve credited person B, so yeah if you see that just let me know. also, if I used your YT tag for example and you want your SRK tag credited instead hit me up and i’ll change that.
I split the combo sections into beginner and advanced instead of “meterless” and “with meter” coz all x-23’s combos use meter in the end, and they all build at least 1 bar anyway… the beginner is mainly to grasp the concept of the combo and arent practical combos.
and I added a DHC trick combos section along with an MFC one.
so yeah, opinions to make this better would be appreciated. like i said I still didnt notate everything there so other than that lol
You are too awesome, thank you very much!
I would have mentioned XFC if it did include it. Taskmaster does broke ass damage so it does 1.3 million. LOL. Yeah it’s juggle with c.L.
I hate Taskmaster.
You can’t run away!!!
That’s a lot of info. Thanks for updating that, Eternal Blaze.
**Gonna post up some stuff I’ve been using to help fight D.Phoenix. ** A lot of people dont want to fight D.Phoenix because they think its the most broke thing they’ve ever seen in a video game but it’s really only her in X Factor that is broke. Even then if she gets the 5 meters you still want to kill Phoenix and bring her out as quickly as possible. Unless you have a character that can beam or projectile super her to death like Ryu/Akuma/Taskmaster you should resort to a strategy called “chicken blocking” while putting yourself in the corner and WHILE holding on to your X Factor.
MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 3 Fate of Two Worlds???005 ? ???(??)
If you dont have a Nico account type or copy and paste the link into this website’s nico link bar.
The second match (about 4 minutes 30 seconds in) the Zero player is down to little health but still has X Factor and a level 3 super. What he does is instead of just giving up or trying to fight her mid screen he employs a different strategy to reduce Phoenix’s mix up and force her into a situation where she can’t block string him without dying. He purposely backs himself up into a corner where he reduces D.Phoenix’s mix up to high, low, high/low teleport or throw. As opposed to the high low left right, high/front/back teleport and throw when she’s mid screen. When you’re in the corner her teleport can’t cross you up, she can’t cross you up and can only high low or throw to mix you up. Which is still good but isn’t as bad as the impossible to block shit she puts you in mid screen. You’ll also notice that her homing fireballs actually dissipate if you turtle them long enough. They dissipate because the whole point of fighting her is to lame her out. Not actually fight her.
You can also further limit her options by jumping up and back. What this does is makes it so her low attacks can’t actually hit you low since low attacks dont register as low when you are airborne (they’re just regular blockable attacks). The main thing you still have to worry about is that when you’re in the corner if she throws you while you’re on the ground or while you jump back you will eat a big combo and die due to her ability to combo off throws in the corner. You can protect yourself from that by tech throwing when you feel she’s going for a grab or taking your chicken block a step further by super jumping while blocking. Super jumping is good because it will keep you in the air for a long time burning her X Factor longer and if she tries to air throw you while you are super jumping you’ll be too high for her to land anything after. You can try to tech any throws she may try on you as you come down and until you find a spot to hit her or use your X Factor.
Now in the video the Zero player does something really interesting which is wait for the right moment for her to start block stringing too much and then does a guard XFC into level 3 super which immediately kills her. Doing this puts a lot of pressure on Phoenix because she can’t block string you without worrying about dying. Characters like Dr.Doom have a level 3 super that start up on frame 0 after 4 frames of start up before the freeze. Meaning if she does anything that resembles a block string she is done. The super also travels like half the screen also so it’ll go through a whole row of c.L fireballs and still hit her and blow her up.
Of course this strategy isn’t fool proof and if the Phoenix player is smart they’ll probably just stop block stringing you and stick to trying to throw you but that’s a lot easier to deal with than her mid screen shit. Plus you can try and jab her out of her attempt to throw you and start a combo that could kill her depending on the character you use.
The good thing about this strategy also is that it forces D.Phoenix to turn on her X Factor and that’s what you want because that’s the only way you’re going to kill her unless you play someone with super huge beams that can blow her out of her fireballls. Those are the only characters that can really fight her offensively so everyone else has to play lame and force the X Factor out and burn it out. Which then hopefully you can put her into a situation where she tries to block string you or throw a fireball when she doesn’t have meter to cancel into super.
That strat actually pisses off a lot of Phoenix players I know LOL. Thanks for this. Just beware of TK traps that the Phoenix may try to use to try and keep your grounded and airthrows and junk but if you’ve got X-Factor, you can block the traps without the threat of massive chip damage.
I wonder if X-23 could use H Talon Attack to punish SJ TK homing shot attempts…
Yeah I’ve already been using the H Talon Attack and j.M, j.M, j.H, L talon attack to combo to blow up Phoenix players relying too much on fireballs.
**The best way to make the strategy effective is FOCUS ON KILLING HER TEAM MEMBERS AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. GET THEM OUT OF THE GAME. **The faster you kill her team members the easier time you will have. Her team members effectively allow her to wait on the sidelines and become more powerful especially when she’s already turned into D.Phoenix. You want to cut off her meter support by destroying the team members as fast as possible. I dont really emply the snap back strategy much because I feel its a waste of meter for something that might work. If it doesn’t work you spent a lot of time burning meter just to not kill her and now her team members most likely still have a lot of health and can build meter for D.Phoenix if she is brought out. You want to make it so only Dark Phoenix can build meter for Dark Phoenix. If you keep the other members alive for a long time you will be fighting against a 3 plus bar D.Phoenix and the chances of you winning against a D.Phoenix that can turn on healing field 3 or 4 times is pretty slim.
If you’re always trying to snap in Phoenix you’re setting up a strategy that is pretty much a sure fire win for Phoenix if it doesn’t work. If it does work you win. If it doesn’t work you basically threw the match away because now she can freely turn into D.Phoenix and build 3 and 4 meters for herself and that’s a put the stick down situation. Spending all of that time trying to burn your meter on snap backs works in the team mates favor also because everytime you snap one of her team mates in it’s usually after a small combo and even if its after a big combo you put them in a situation where they get to recharge their health. If your snap back strategy doesn’t work you have to fight her team mates again with MORE meter and their health mostly recovered.
If you are going to employ a snap back strategy make sure your team is capable of really strong mix ups should you snap her in. If you have a team that can set up unblockables or really strong high/low or 50/50 left rights when characters come in that helps as well.
imo the best option for x-23 is to try and build up to four meters and go for a dirt nap kill. Either that or just snap her in and try to mix her up. If phoenix manages to build enough meter and uses level 3 x-factor, there isn’t really much x-23 can do about it other than back up into the corner.
With X23 yeah you’ll probably want to employ a more offensive strategy since I doubt dirt nap has the range to hit Phoenix after a guard XFC. If you jump and catch her throwing one fireball while in dirt nap you can end her quickly. Being invisible helps a bit in that she wont be able to see exactly where you are unless she starts mashing on light attacks and praying she touches you.
With my team depending on how many characters I have left I would probably still resort to just chicken blocking and waiting for Doom to come in as anchor so I can force her into guard XFC level 3 situation so she has to break up her offense. Which if she presses the offense too much I can blow her up with level 3 and if she stops pressing buttons that gives me room to attack and back throw her to kill her.
DP really can’t teleport cross up when you’re in the corner? I had no idea
