I’d like to get it big enough to stream matches for people to watch and having the big matches on a big screen would be good.

Yeah no need to go crazy for a start up. The most important thing is just getting a tournament started. Doesn’t matter how flashy it is. I really wish we had local tourneys right now. Don’t care if it’s on a 19 inch computer monitor or a projector. How many people are going to really want to watch a stream of Lehigh Valley to begin with lol. We are so unknown right now.
I want to go this weekend to NYC, but from what I gather, we’d have to stay overnight correct? Did you guys already get a hotel room? What do you guys think will be around the cost for this trip? I can’t just drop a shit ton of money as much as I’d like to. Let me know, still interested, but just not sure until I know these things.

well as far as i know about the tourney its two days but we don`t know when ssf4 is being played so we go down on the 12th we might have to come back the 13th. either way so far me and satanic are going down and i still have room to take more.
What system is ssf4 on? You guys planning on getting a hotel room?

Yeah Adayafteryou (sorry im bad with remembering real names), i’d suggest keep it simple for your first tournament. The first one would prolly be like a “feeler” more then a full out tournament. Just cause we’re unsure about how many ppl might show cuase of schedules and just dedication, not everyone is as serious as we are. But that can easily change if those people see there’s a nice community out there.
So don’t go throwing a ton of money into the first one. Get whatever tv’s we can get from ppl, same with consoles. And yeah, fuck streaming it. aint no one gonna watch that yet. Are main goal should just to get as many heads there, and make sure we have enough setups. We can worry bout streaming and ranbat type stuff once we see the turnout. I think weekly tournaments will just get out of hand and prolly won’t increase the ppl that show up. maybe bi-weekly would be better…like Battlefield does up in NY. That way it gives ppl time to train after getting thier ass whipped the week before.
But overall I don’t think it should be too hard to get rolling. It seems like the people that were at Dakko’s PicNic and my apartment are the most dedicated people right now, but there’s plenty of people in the thread here that are ready and waiting for something to pop off.

and another idea…if we do get a tournament set up, we need to get everyone that comes like email/phone number…something that we can contact them in the future. Cuase we can’t expect everyone to come on here to be active in the scene.
I would definitely be up for a tournament around here. I may also be able to bring a smaller TV and definitely a system as well. As well as I would help with any organizing. I know I havent made it to all the barbecues and stuff but I definitely want to help and get this scene going around here.
Im going to be cutting back on my work hours so it should be a lot easier to do all this as well.
i got two sd tv’s i can bring to any event, and my 360. if we all pooled our shit together we’d have more then enough for a tournament of any size we want.
you saw it at ECT2, they only had like 7 tvs going at most for one game.
Was just wondering what system should this be on if it gets rolling? I primarily only know people with xbox 360’s but we were shooting for Ps3. I wanna keep it to one system to keep it easier but it can be on 360 if need be.
