It’s really noticable how fast he builds meter now. In the vid against Claw he lost that first round and in the second round he got super in no time even though he didn’t hit much, awesome.
Also, in the same vid against Claw, in the last round Vega was stunned in 7 hits (2 were trades), I don’t know stun values that much but that seems rather fast for a character like Gen?
oh, dammit. i forgot the japanese arcade exclusive crowd hasnt seen gen until now
even so, there are quite a few gen players winning a ton online.(grain of salt)
i play solid all day and get my shit pushed in. granted that its harder to play solid online than it is to just do whatever you want and hope the other guy cant stop it
They’re just unfamiliar, but in the end they will catch up to our shenanigans and tricks when exposed enough. That’s ok, it will force Gen players to become more solid I assume. I play solid too, but online the better player doesn’t nearly always win as much as he should. Gen, fuerte and viper online are the hardest street fighter challenges you could give to yourself imo.
true, most of the players had problems because they were super clueless in the matchup, a lot of japanese player play on console too but still a good gen is kinda rare. though i have to say, when gen’s owning people with fancy combos and that quick meter build(makin people scared of combo into super), it looks kinda awesome lol
Ty for uploading them. I laughed at some of the quotes in the VS screen.
In the beginning of claw vs gen video, he hit Oga and followed up with crane s.HK, which gained a bit more than half a meter bar. This case is the same in SSF4, so I’ll guess meter gain for Oga and crane s.HK haven’t changed.
If you add up stun values of all the attacks he did in the 4th round, it’ll be slightly more than 900, and claw has 900 stun.
Looks like he gains more super meter from roll, as you can see in the beginning of VS boxer video. I’m going to try this myself in the training mode when I have time.
At the 2:02-2:05 during boxer video, he hits with full LK gekiro after his meter becomes empty. Did meter gain change? Not sure.
Yea, I’m just looking at these since I can’t play it yet =[
Nice find! At some point he did cr.lk, cr. lp, cr.lk, cr.mp xx hands. It’s clear that cr.mp does not link from cr.lk, but that’s probably a nifty frame trap with the faster cr.mp.
