I used to be all about reset cancel into oga. It looks real cool and but lemme warn you when you play good players theyāll have no issues blocking that (or just straight out DPing) and owning your ishhh hahah.

Yoo, I played this money match a couple of Tuesdays ago.
I lost and in my opinion I should have won but I think I cracked under the pressure. My first money match and I donāt know why I put so much down haha.

Youāve definitely gotten better than what I remember on FADC. I think your mental level is higher than that ryu player, but you were losing because a thoughtless Ryu is actually practical/effective in this game. Thatās not to say you werenāt guilty of tunnel visioning yourself though.
The focuses are well spaced, but they seem too programmed into you when you do it. You really need to work on responding and interacting to what your opponent is doing. It may be so that youāre under pressure and such, but if Spazzy Spaz McGee is spazzing, then you need to block.
Also, kara throw. :wgrin:
I actually called him out one time, he did EX-SRK but was definitely mashing down-right to get it out. My fault for always assuming āThereās just no way!ā
And I thought I was kara throwing lol. - actually, watching the MM I didnāt kara throw at all. But honest, Iām mixing it in there 
That brings up another question, if I can kara throw with Ken can I assume I can kara throw with Gen? I can do Kenās 100% and itās easy to see. Iāll admit sometimes Iām unsure if I even did the kara with Gen, but I just assume my Ken = Gen theory haha.
If your standing beside your opponent hit them with a mantis s.mp. If they block you can immediately try to kara throw because i think it leaves you at just the right range to do a kara backthrow. You shouldnt be able to land any other throws from that distance so if you throw them after that setup then you know you did a karathrow.

I gotta say youāre amazing at getting those L2 Focus attacks. I outta try that more often. Though I donāt understand why you were missing MK to hands so much.
its ryu, hist hitbox is random, sometimes itll connect others his head will fly back and heāll be outta range, only way mk hands is 100% is when its a meaty mk hands, like dp wiff meaty
That was really interesting, havenāt seen much Gen play with that much emphasis on crane. Very cool.

Iām not sure Iām following you. I watched the vid and also heard them saying ryuās hitbox on one of his hitstun animations is āa little weird and sometimes genās bnb doesnāt connectā or something like that. I think I also heard someone say it after Jibbo played Daigo.
They said it in this vid after 1:27, when Jibbo landed mk xx hands -> mk then missed the hands. The link from hands to the next mk landed so the second set of hands were guaranteed. Jibbo just didnāt piano fast enough. He also missed it after 0:58 because he ex focus cancelled the hands but didnāt dash cancel the focus.
It is alot more difficult against Ryu, but as far as I know itās not because itās some random thing. Itās just because of the walk forward and how it tightens the window you have to time all your links with mk. I used to think Hondaās hitstun hitbox was random until I recorded me doing doing the mk xx hands (2x) fadc loop and realized on playback it will never drop the combo. The same applies for Ryu.
So is there really some random element I donāt know about? Please explain because Iād love an excuse for dropping that link against Ryu and Honda. I have an easier time with hp xx hands mk xx hands FADC loops against Blanka than those two assholes.

Gens super is fucking awesome when it hits, but when they block it, you are wide open for a really painful punishment. I dunno man, you did really good, that first match hurt you though, you just got hit with too many focus attacks. I think you did fine you just got to not take so much damage man. Youve got a good Gen going though
