I’m discussing the article - which at least the part I read - the parents said that once ‘they’ could talk, they said they were a boy. When I was a young kid, I was depressed, withdrawn, and yes - suicidal, I’m sorry I just don’t think you can take a kid that hasn’t even APPROACHED any level of maturation, who are still discovering BASIC logic, and use what they say or do as a large swath to paint them with. I’m not saying you fight their wishes - not at all, but they’ve (the parents in said article) grabbed the proverbial bull by the horn and are dragging it around for people to see.
As for the last part - if that was at me, sorry, its not exactly some large scale civil rights type movement that I’ve dug into to take a stance of some sort. I frankly don’t care about the movement. No, let me reword that - I’m indifferent about it. I don’t discriminate against them, have any issues, etc - similar to LBGT - I’m indifferent, do what you want with whom you want, you should be treated as an equal. My issue is simply with the parenting. Its easy to make the connection to the LGBT stuff - if my son acted out as though he liked boys, I’m not going to push him away from boys and I’m not going to push him towards boys, I’m going to let nature take its course, its not up to me to drive him in a direction, he doesn’t know any better. If you ask a 5-10 year old what they want to be when they grow up, most of them will give you a different answer each month. I juat think that if a kid is just getting into elementary school, its not right to turn them into a symbol for some movement as though this kid’s interest and behaviors are etched in stone.
To answer your first question Gays and LGBTs who unified and pushed for the laws to be changed got the laws changed. If they had never taken the steps to make their voices heard and to put up worth while reasons for why theyhave been treated unjustly then the laws wouldn’t have changed. That’s how we do things here in America. We make our voices heard. We don’t go bombing buses and coffee shops like you advocated for earlier. They aren’t looking to over throw the government, they are looking for an equal share of the pie. The fuck kind of logic is all this?
Also marriage comes with a shit load of benefits (Tax breaks, recognition as someones significant other in important matters such as health care, death benefits so on and so fourth) that group of people where locked out receiving for no reason other then “My bible says you’re evil.” You come off as incredibly uninformed about any of this so you should probably just stop talking about. People used to treat transsexuals and gays the exact same way people currently treat pedophiles. Hell blacks in this country used to have to deal with with as bad if not worse conditions but through social change and meaningful conversation and and active reform people don’t get to treat them like property anymore. Maybe pederasts will have their moment some day like gays have had and transsexuals are currently having. And I know being trans doesn’t always have to do with sexual preference. But IMO its just unethical to do that shit. It would be less of an issue if trans people told their partners that they were trans before intimacy, so they wouldn’t be deceiving and evil and can prevent another case of trans violence after being “found out” instead of confessing or being honest.

I don’t see anything wrong with elective surgery. Transgendered people, with their brain/soul disorders, have the right to be happy. If a sex change operation and hormone therapy help them to that end, so be it.
Ehh its whatever. I just wanted to drop in my view. But I think @dab00g was right about alot of these trans defenders are less about treating people right and instead they do like trans girls.
Joking. This is good for society though. More acceptable these days. Gay marriage, Sam, and this are good awareness for their community. I am straight and gays/ts get discrimination harshly in some areas.
Honestly, is there a difference between a sex change operation(s), and cosmetic plastic surgery? If I choose to get a penis enlargement, is that any different than a chick having her stuff … ugh ?re-molded? into a penis?
Im just saying, there are people here who don’t agree with trans shit. Doesn’t mean they will beat up a tranny or treat them like shit if for whatever reason they were around one.
All im saying is I personally think its wrong and no matter how many pills you take and how many surgeries you get, you are still whatever you DNA is to me. I wouldn’t do something jacked up to a trans, I just don’t agree with it and think its evil. But it’s whatever.
