It’s not like the Civil Rights Movement has completely eliminated racism or prejudice in America, and the movement is still very relevant today, be it race, sexuality, gender, religion, etc. Unfortunately, there’s still people that don’t think such prejudice still exists or applies to certain groups.
Racism and bigotry ended in 1968 man, all in one fell swoop.There is clearly no such thing as prejeduice towards any group of people in America. I mean, no group today is being oppressed in any way whatsoever. LGBTs have no prejudice against them, because I don’t see it! So it must not exist!

People are free to refer to themselves however they want and likewise people are free to call people whatever they want. This is a point and concept lots of people here are overlooking…you don’t get the right to bypass someone’s preference and opinions all because you claim to be the victim. A person has as much right not to call a trans person by their preferred pronoun as a trans person has to refer to themselves in that pronoun…get over your entitlement in thinking the whole world needs to agree with you and do what you say.
Now I’m not someone who believes in the "progressive"line of thinking as it relates to gender. I don’t believe gender is 100% a social construct, I don’t believe men and women are completely interchangeable and identical in every way. I don’t believe that there are multiple genders and I don’t believe in all the other shit commonly spewed by people like you. However in spite of this I have no problem with people who do believe it. I respect their choices and ultimately would never go out of my way to force them to accept and embrace my ideas and values. In turn all I ask for is that these people show me the same mutual curtesy and respect.
I would even go out of my way to say no one here really cares what trans people do, what they call themselves, who they fuck and what they wear. In fact no one really seems to give much thought to it around here aside from the occasional joke. The issue arises however when trans people or their “liaisons"think it’s within their right to impose and implement their ideas,their arguments and their perspectives as mandatory thought streams to everyone else. Why can’t people like you just respect the concept of"to each his own”…why does there need to be such a aggressive push to immediately defer to your ideals. You realize your no better then a zealot when you try shit like this right…I mean for all the discussion of tolerance and acceptance it’s funny how the least tolerant people are those who constantly speak in its name.
In short I refer back to the South Park episode explaining the difference between acceptance and tolerance. People can tolerate opposing views but the instant you try to force acceptance…then we have issues.
