You misunderstand, no one nerfs Doom, the developers request or beg Doom to be nerfed, and it is up to Doom to agree or not.

2A for two attacks is not letter notation. It’s already a reserved notation for num pad. The Dormammu format is infinitely better than yours. You really should man up and follow suit. The OP here looks like ass compared to it. Are you too lazy to put the symbols in? It’s bad form to have all these different threads make up their own little world of notation. A standard is important for consistency and readability and the symbols were integrated into the board code for good reason. Use them.
The format of the “ass” thread and the “good” thread are essentially identical in format though…
The only real difference is that one of them uses :qcf::snka: and one of them uses qcf.a. The only real difference beyond that is one has video links and the other has descriptions.

@shaek, im sorry that you dont understand what qcf means and need pictures, but the fact remains, in the poll, letter notation was what was voted for, not symbols. if other thread founders choose to use the sybols thats perfectly ok for them and its nice they go that extra mile, but not everyone who starts a character thread has to

I’m thinking of adding Doom’s mighty presents in my team (Zero/Ammy) his assist i still great but Idk whether I should play keep away with him or not…any tips? Also has anyone seen his lvl3? and could you provide a link if so
i dont think doom is a keepaway character at all
What do you consider him? I’m genuinely interested because I always think of him as a keepaway character on point.
I asked this in the MvC3 team thread, but have people even explored MvC3 Doom on point? I see you guys just came up with a theory combo for him a few days ago:

Ok no offense but people should have speculated and tested that months ago. To me that says people are hella behind when developing & experimenting with him in this game. I’m very surprised people are just bringing that up in the middle of January. Air series–>E–>OTG (via super or whatever) is a staple for ALOT of characters in this game.

Doom is a hybrid if you ask me. Why?

Doom is a rushdown character with lockdown potential. granted hes not a god tier rushdown, but anyone with a tridash should not be playing keepaway they should be getting in dat ass. hes a rushdown character with some lockdown potential but that is not all hes for with a good assist doom should be comboin fools to death
But Nick, I heard he can’t cancel ground dash any more with c.lk or anything anymore. I know his tri-dash got better but having an uncancellable ground dash hurt him. I don’t know if anybody used him in MVC2 but most of his assist combos and resets were great because of this. So I guess if I do use him, I am sticking with Jello Gun tactics.
if thats true then yeah his rushdown will be nerfed but if you still have a tridash overhead thats rushdown tools. to not use that and just spam his butter gun (which you can just beat by jumping =) is not a good tactic. theres a reason that move stopped being successful early on in mvc2s life.
