I can do the Forward H into dash down MP, but it just ends right there. What do you do after? A super jump, and continue with M?
I landed the midscreen loop combo on Arthur, no problem. Two things to note: 1.) Land M immediately after launch attack. You don’t want to pop your opponent too high because they’ll eventually air recover in midst of the loop. 2.) Let the air dash ride and wait until the very last possible moment before you cancel into M.
Like Las Vegas Pimp said, you can hit confirm Doom’s 2-hit medium attack, granting you enough time (I feel) to infer whether or not your opponent is too high off the ground for a relaunch. If necessary, you can salvage your combo in whatever appropriate way (Air Photo Array, Sphere Flame, or just ending with special attack and setting up a mix-up with his cancelable air dashes + assist).

newb question: what causes the standing H. attack to whiff OTG? When comboing in the corner sometimes it just whiffs on the downed opponent. Is it timing?
probably the timing, I can’t say for sure, sometimes too many hits will end up pushing them too far away - for example for the life of me I couldn’t get air B, B, 6C, S, OTG C to combo earlier
however you CAN do an airdash in there for something like, (in air) B, B, 6C, air dash, B, S, OTG C.
also - easy combo in and out of rocks: whatever into launcher->whatever into OTG C, rocks, A, 6C(hard kick launcher), air combo
it is possible to get standing B after rocks, but the timing is a little tighter and sometimes pushes me out of range for the launch.
re-EDIT: nevermind I’m dumb - but however letting your air-dash rock for a tiny bit more time makes it so doom ends up closer if spacing is the issue.
Does anybody have a few non corner combos ? Assist combos with Sent/Viper ?
I’m still experiencing a lot, but god, (D j6C jD OTGC)*4 in the corner is just so ridiculous (80% on Amaterasu… From a 2A…).
try to get the j.B out quickly after launch :]
I haven’t spent too much time in training with Doom yet, since I’ve been working with V. Joe, but whenever I try the loop, after I do S after F+H and I ADDF and do M, it seems to only hit once.
i dont think ive seen it anywhere yet but does anyone think there will be possibilities with his dash cancels?
Up-Right air dashes are always awesome for continuing combos IMO.

Can you combo into sphere flame out of an air combo?! I thought I did it last night but I was also falling asleep and starting to mash so I might be insane…
after a couple reps of the air to ground loop you can land c.M, c.H sphere flame. It’s better damage that photon array most of the time considering you have to get the right positioning for photon array.
I’ve been running she hulk with doom and morrigan and he’s just too damn good. hidden missile assist is good, but doom rocks combined with she hulks c.H into H command grab is just too good for staying in on push block spammers. if she hulk is getting zoned the fuck out then i just switch to doom and do some zoning myself, morrigan is pretty much just for her meter building and lv3 air hyper.

doom seems broken because he can do both:
- cancel his jump S into airdash
- relaunch any grounded character with H -> S or H -> f+H
what does this mean? it means he can loop you into the corner from anywhere on the screen.
Then your gonna be pissed when jill comes out… she has an infinite corner loop thats 100% kill no character assists.
question bout doom assist:
does the missile assist make the rocks obsolete now? cause, if i remember correctly, yipes was saying that missiles would be the main one now.
do you any of you guys think rocks still have some use to them?
Ultra David was saying rocks were useful for him using she hulk because the rocks force people stay on the ground or force being reset into more pressure as he’s trying to command grab. The hidden missles seem solid but they have too long start up for me. I’m sure with some nice setups they work well though. Right now though I’ll just stick with beam assist since it seems to be the best at helping my chun li get in on spammy lame types and helps her unscary range game.
I dunno man, rocks are still pretty mean. Everyone and their mom are getting bombarded by missiles right now, so its that new assist smell that has everyone talking about it.
I think all of Doom’s assists are viable (pretty amazing, too) and it is just a matter of who your other characters are.
