You can kinda mixup if they block by doing one sj. addf B(2 hits) and doing sj. addf B,B(one hit) throw.
Also if I want to get in or move around in general I try not to normal dash but tri dash with him.

BTW it seems like Doom is similar to Magneto in that he isn’t too dependent on meter and solid at building meter yeah? That’s basically what I want to use him as. A lamer version of Magneto that can build meter quickly for Vipper.
Anyone else notice the j.B can instant overhead? Jump and immediately j.B can instant overhead on most characters. Pair with a good assist it should be something to abuse. On smaller characters you can only get 1 hit from the j.B. On larger characters you’ll get more hits.
Rocks vs missiles, something to note about the missiles is that they do hit on the way up as well. I haven’t been able to combo into it or out of it, but I’ve been trying to ground string(gets pushblocked) > rocks > missiles+assist; for a bit of pressure game.
you can get an 800k-850k damage combo in the corner using whatever into launcher then jumping b, jumping b, jumping forward + C, air dash forward jumping B, jumping S, OTG with standing C, rocks, level 3 super. it’s really not that hard and you can replace the level 3 with photon super DHC into sentinel’s drone super, then bubble super for a tag out.
also there seems to be a way to combo after rocks into another launch so…I obviously have a lot more to experiment with.
not just instant overhead but the hitbox on it is so big it can hit behind the enemies head, and youll still land in front of them

Doom is a great character I think. Average health, probably the most lame beam/projectile based zoning in the game. On the other hand though for being good at lame his speed is really good once u figure out his movement options and has crazy loops for big damage once he gets in. The only issue i had with him so far is that for me he felt like kind of a fish out of water against Arthur. Once the javelins come out your beams are useless and you’ll have to rely on just movement and your assist to hit him it seems. I need to work on my movement/air dash down pressure so I’ll see what i can come up with. Though to take help take care of that issue buktooth was also using wesker who has a freaking Toki Hokuto No Ken teleport so Arthur wont be able to keep him out long. I wonder how easy it is for Chun to get in on Arthur if she can just get a good spot.
Im having problem the second time on the loop after f+c addf j.b…I always get it so high that by the time I get it j.b off they can tech out and I cant land my c.b c.s. Any tips? thnx.
Ok what are you guys doing to cancel Doom’s j.S? Every time I do it he just lands to the ground and I’m seeing all these combos using that and then going back into j.M.
We are not using j.s…in the air after launch you j.b(2hits) , f+c then dash df j.b
So about Doom’s midscreen stuff, specifically the Buktooth combo. Is it character specific or do you simply have to change the timing or switch buttons to make it work?
I can do it no problem most of the time, but some of the smaller characters look like they can air tech out.
You guys play MvC2? The timing is easier because of hit confirms. Make sure b connects for 2 hits. Wait, you guys make it sound complicated now. Keep it simple. s (launch), sj. b (2 hits), fwd c (dive kick) xx air dash df (cancel by air dashing down forward - let it ride for half a milli-second), sj. b (2 hits), you’ll land but your finger will still be hovering over the b button, crouch b, launch, repeat.
So after the f.c am I supposed to land or am supposed to do another j.b?
