How reliable are mooks? I think people in the past have had problems with them being full of inaccuracies. The only specific example i can remember is the vf2 mook. Though i think i have a couple mooks sonewhere maybe ill check the fd on them vs game restaurant
Honestly I have no idea how accurate the older ones are. For what itās worth the only other ones I have arefor guilty gear xx slash and HNK and they are accurate so who knows
I canāt promise what Iām doing is 100% accurate either because emulation may not be perfect and fba is known to update a frame late sometimes.
For now Iāll say the fastest moves in the game are throws. They grab on frame 2 or 3. Hibiki and Zantetsuās Sdms are also stupid fast as they are throws at close range and are active before the super flash ends. Kaedeās hcf + C is basically instant if youāre in range. It doesnāt seem to have any start up frames, they just get hit. Iām guessing command throws are all going to be like that minus shigens hcf ones.
Edit: kagamis command grabs are active on frame 7 which makes them the speed of most jabs in the game. Amano,Jozoh, and Kaedeās are instant though.
Leeās standing B and crouching C are faster than most if not all jabs

well I maind her for years and only use speed mode for certain match ups, Iāve done just fine with her, but some stuff i want to do like dash under certain hops and get big punish require that dash cancel to nuetral jump. Maybe I mistake the normal attack blocked as hitsune cnacel.

Been trying to combo Hibikiās 4A into 5B, but the timing of it is insanely strict. Iām beginning to doubt that this combo even works on the arcade version.
It will only work off of a deep cross up Air B and even then it only works on Amano, Juzoh, Shigen, and Kouryu. I can guarantee it works on arcade, ps2, and wii vc versions of the game.

Edit: And it works! Though, Iām not sure why Hibikiās page on the SRK wiki suggested that it was possible to execute 4A into 5B without the j.B cross-up.
Character pages need cleaned up a bit as thereās some stuff thatās incorrect. I think whoever put that stuff up originally saw things in combo movies and then put them in the wiki. Some things listed will only work if the opponent goes into a dizzy animation between moves. For instance Amano down B xx qcb A only works if the down B dizzys the opponent and only works in power mode. Same with Washizuka charge back,forward C, back+A. Only works if the shoulder charge dizzies otherwise heād have an infinite in all modes. Speed/Ex canāt dizzy in a match, (except Amano explained below) in training mode they can but by the time you would be able to in a match your opponent would be dead anyway. The exception to the rule is Amanoās hcb B if itās fully charged and hits since it automatically dizzies the opponent at that point. Other seemingly impossible links require a point blank ground counter hit or a parry on the last active frame of certain attacks from the air and arenāt all that practical. Over explanation for the win!
Iāve been meaning to go through it all but I just havenāt yet. Iām trying to build a resource for this game with frame data and itās been really time consuming.
Hibiki is awesome. Do her super as qcb, f+A+B and youāll have an easier time comboing it off of standing A and down C. Or you can buffer it like: down C, back A, qcb, f+A+C (gives you standing A) f+A+B. If done fast enough the super will come out. Doesnāt have to be lightning quick though, this game holds inputs for a little while. In speed just chain to down B and combo it there.
