For the P Mukuro 4a -> 5b link its just a matter of timing. You have to do the 5b kind of late, and its a pretty tight link also. Once you get a feel for the timing its not too difficult to link consistantly however.
If you still have them Iāll take them. Iāve been working on a cmv and a basic tutorial vid so that would be a welcome addition so people know what not to do.
I was been contacted by Wil to continue the work and I passed him my recinputs. If you want to participate yourself, try asking in Wil if you need help with something.
It appears to be a training session in preparation for the upcoming Total Eclipse of SNK tourney.
I only skimmed through a bit, but its pretty interesting as you can see the top players using lots of different characters.
Damn, I should finish the video when I had started in 2006 :-/
Oh, well, at least that video itās how I always wanted to do and now everyone can understand what is banned or not.
OKā¦ So I know the last post regarding this question has been posted a couple of years ago in the Tier listing thread but Iād like to ask it again requesting a more detailed answer. Iāve did a lot of searching around and sheesh its quit hard finding answers for this game.
Iām interested in finding out more about the differences the PS2 port and the MVS version, especially seeing how Iāll be spending most of my time playing on the PS2 version than any other version of the game. Most of my friends who come over arenāt interested in playing on my PC so weāre going to have to use the next best thing which is my PS2 hooked up to my HDTV.
I understand that people are saying the PS2 version is slower than MAME and has less frames. Iāve been fooling around with the PS2 version and it does feel a tad bit slower but itās very hard to tell for me. People have said that it just feels wrong and I would have to agree seeing how Iāve played both. Though keep in mind Iām quit new to the game and Iāve just started playing recently but I can feel a slight difference. However though Iām not at the level where I would know how much this difference affects game play.
Iām just wondering if anyone can put a percentage number to how much slower the game is to MAME?
I know the difference in speed may of course affect a lot of the higher skilled players but is the port good enough for casual matches or is the speed inconsistent throughout the game? Iām reading about slowdowns in the game but in MAME there are slowdowns as well.
Dreamcast version I felt the game ran a lot faster and had less slowdowns than the Emulated version on MAME. Iām aware that the DC version had sound problems along with it being censored too.
Yes the PS2 version audio is horrible compared to the the ROM version on MAME but other than that I canāt really think of anything else that is wrong with the port.
Iām hoping a well experience player can answer some of these questions.
Bwahahaaa!! Of course not. The moment you stopped playing everyone else on the planet immediately stopped as well. The only reason why thereās any activity on this thread is because a select group of Last Blade 2 players monitor your every move, and predicted youād visit this thread. Therefore, to please you, the retired Last Blade 2 community roared back into action and created (what appeared to be) months worth of tournaments and associated posts.
From the video Iām gleaning the ban list is basically āno infinitesā. The only question I have is whatās wrong with 1:05? Is that an infinite, and heās only showing a single loop?
MY best guess is that it goes along with o.kaedeās banned air combos, probably just a power mode thing for zan. And for the guy who asked abvout ps2 port differences:
For casual and tourney play you can use it. I play that version all the time and iāve never run into any slowdown outside of a few of the stages. The only thing that bugs me is that the music is off in the intro compared to the arcade version. Itās nice that you get the NGCD versions of all the music though. As far as the game having less frames i really canāt say as i donāt have a good way to test that. for what itās worth every combo and trick in the arcade version works in the ps2 port. For me i can play on either and do fine. Hope that helped some.
By pressing 7C Zantetsu can chain any of his jumping normals into his jumping C. You can also chain 7C into itself multiple times almost like with his AC glitch.
So you can do:
8A, 7C
8B,7C
7C,7C,7C ect (You can use this to do a rejump infinite of sorts on taller characters)
Ah you can imagine this breaks his high low game even more, by giving P Zan air chains (he canāt chain his air attacks normally), as well as letting both P and S Zan chain from jumping B to jumping C which is not normally possible.
As you said they banned all infinites. They also appear to have banned all āglitch air chainsā as well, the others belonging too S Lee (ac) and O.Kaede (jump 26a/b/c).
Iāve been playing LB2 on ArcLive with the Chinese , and Iāve seen them blocking my Leeās DM mid-way (they took the 1st hit , but when Lee dash forward , they blocked it , and thatās the most important one ) . Since I dont know any Chinese , I couldnāt ask them .
Is that a glitch ? and do u guys know how to do it ?
Well lots of guys there speak english but to answer your question:
Just mash a lot of buttons and you should be able to block the 2nd part. This works the same way with Zanās DM and with BC overheads too.
The way I do it is just hold back and hit ABC as fast as I can for a second. You just have to be careful not to mash too long, or you may recover and do an attack thus getting hit by the 2nd hit of the DM anyways.
Thanks WiL
Iām still trying to play Lee , do u guys know any combination for his speed DM (22B) to link with his normal attack ? Cause if I just use the DM alone , ppl can avoid it easily ._.
